Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

I can't imagine wearing the Magic Band on my left wrist, since that's where my watch is and I'd feel naked without it (plus I'll need it to make it to my FP+ times). Though my 4-year-old seems to be a lefty, so wearing it on his right wrist makes sense.

Only in November when Disney is still in the 'testing' phase. After that, who knows. :confused3

Sorry if this has been confirmed, but we are sure that November is still indeed "testing"? I just want to be sure we can still get FP- along with FP+.

No one knows what will happen with FP+ and FP- as they continue to test, however, I received a letter yesterday with the offer to test MB and FP+ during our stay in November. I had previously customized the our bands (they arrived via UPS today) but the letter confirms that they will still be testing next month.

It is valid. There are two systems (bands and letters) that are crossing in the mail. It is happening to most of us.

If you had to customize your bands by 10/6 they should be shipped tonight and you should have them tomorrow morning. :)

The bands did arrive today.

For people who are wondering about it, I put mine on and I don't think it will be uncomfortable at all. It really doesn't feel any different than wearing a wristwatch.

PERFECT!! Thank you. I have not received my letter yet.

I tried my band on when it arrived today, and I don't see a problem wearing both it and my watch on my left wrist.

Another question...BTW you all are awesome!!!

We are AP holders but we are staying onsite, so we are able to participate in MB/FP+ testing for our stay in Nov. Will we be able to use our AP to get FP- and if so, do we need to enter the park using our AP instead of our MB? Our renewal vouchers are linked to MDE if that makes a difference.

There have been reports that the scanners do not work as well with bands worn on the right wrist. I would wear it on the left and scan one of your right hand fingers.

Wow, I have never heard of this- that makes no sense to me but anything is possible. Here is my silly question- how does it know what arm you are wearing the band on?
I always wore mine on the right a d never had a problem getting into the park.

It is more an issue of getting the scanner to read the band properly. When it is on the right hand it is harder to maneuver the band into the correct position.

Again, I have not experienced this myself, but others have reported having issues.

Just received our MagicBands Thursday for a Nov. 2-8 trip.
Overnighted from a company called NGE (Next Generation Experience, I think), so if you get a UPS delivery notice for an express overnight package from NGE _ that will be your MagicBands:)
We set up all our FP+ reservations and dining reservations the same night we personalized our bands. Very, very easy process (took less than an hour for everything) and both FP+ and dining reservations showed up in the My Disney Experience app and the web site the same night.
From personalization to delivery took about 8-10 days. The bands fit well and are very comfortable. The material on the outside of the MagicBand has an odd soft texture not unlike moleskin_ not slick rubber/plastic, but kind of a soft, textured material. Can't wait to see how these hold up in the park.

About 2 weeks ago I saw on MDE that I could customize magic bands and make FP+ reservations for our trip to PC (arriving 11/5). MDE said I had to customize bands by 10/6 (which I did) so now MDE says the bands are customized and will be shipped soon. I also made FP+ reservations for each day of our trip.

Today I got an invite in the mail to participate in My Magic + telling me to customize bands by 10/25. Go figure. I guess if the bands I ordered don't arrive in the next two weeks I will call to make sure the order I placed through MDE is valid.

I had a similar experience. The same day I received my MagicBands I also received a large slick mailer from Disney notifying me that I had been selected to test MagicBands and FP+. I've also gotten at least two e-mails reminding me _ but the bands I designed and received and all the reservations I've made show up fine in My Disney Experience and on the web site, so I'm not particularly worried about it. Probably just a glitch in the system.

I've been 'adjusting' my MB the last few days. I found it is more comfortable if I trim some of the extra gray part off; they Mickey head doesn't uncomfortably slide off to the side of my wrist that way. Also, to help form it to closer match the 'oval-ness' of my wrist, I've been placing it under books, Mickey head up, so the band has a natural curve that closer matches the curve of my wrist. I wear it on my right arm, and have found it to be mostly unnoticeable. It does make the wrist sweat if it is too tight or slides up the arm. :thumbsup2

I don't remember. We are doing mk nov 1 so maybe if was that day

It couldn't have been Nov. 1. That's a MNSSHP night, so no regular Wishes.
I haven't yet been offered FP+ for fireworks (or MSEP) on any of our MK days, Nov. 1, 5, 7, 8 (also a party night) or 10. Also no Illuminations. We did get offered Fantasmic, but we'd already booked a meal package, as usual. I'm still holding out hope for the others as those dates get closer.

This thread is so large it's hard to keep up. Has anybody gotten the elusive 4th FP+ at magic kingdom yet?

I got IllumiNations and Fantasmic. Nothing at MK has come up.

Is there anyone arriving Thanksgiving week and has personalized their bands or heard anything about FPs? I haven't heard a word, should I call or give it a few more days?
