Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

Ugh! I am about ready to throw my mouse ears through my computer! Weeks ago, was able to make FP reservations for my immediate family of five. Today, my sil finally set up her acct, linked her package reservation and I was able to make some FP reservations for all 10 of us. Now, everything is screwed up. 2 people have RnR for 10:00, 3 have it at 3:00, 1 at 4:30, the rest of us, gone. And this is what it looks like for our other reservations that day and our other two days. Now, I can't change anyone's FPs but my family's and my sil. I can't for the rest of her family. I have been trying to do this since 1:30. I have had it! Does anyone have the # for IT? So much for having a magical day. Thanks.

You guys seem to have all the answers so here goes!

1. We have 2 DVC reservations as we were on a wait list. We will be at the same resort. So we will check out then back in the same day. Will we need 2 sets of bands?

2. I entered our ticket info and it shows up, how do I know if they are linked to the bands? If I need 2 sets of bands will the tickets work on both?

3. Friends are traveling with us and have the same situation. Since we are the DVC owners do we have to do their MDE? Or do they create an account and do their own?

4. Why does DH show up as friend and not family?

Thanks!

1. We have 2 DVC reservations as we were on a wait list. We will be at the same resort. So we will check out then back in the same day. Will we need 2 sets of bands? No, but you will get them. Just make sure you have one MDE account.

2. I entered our ticket info and it shows up, how do I know if they are linked to the bands? If I need 2 sets of bands will the tickets work on both? If the MBs were personalized on the same MDE account, they are linked. Tickets should work on either MB, as long as the MB and the ticket are assigned to a person.

3. Friends are traveling with us and have the same situation. Since we are the DVC owners do we have to do their MDE? Or do they create an account and do their own? Your friends will have their own MDE, own tickets. All a resort of DVC ressie does is let you have the MBs. As long as the ressie is linked to their MDE.

4. Why does DH show up as friend and not family? That I'm not sure. Mine is set up friend too, don't remember if that was a selection. Does he have his own MDE account?

Thanks!

The MB are connected to a person's account, not to a specific reservation. As long as you are in the system, whatever tickets or reservations you have can be 'seen' by the MB assigned to you. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

You won't need them, but with two reservations you will get two sets of bands. Both will work for your entire stay so just order two different colors and enjoy.

2. I entered our ticket info and it shows up, how do I know if they are linked to the bands? If I need 2 sets of bands will the tickets work on both?

If it shows up it is linked. The bands read the information in your account so you are all set. Both sets of bands access the same information so both will work for your entire trip.

You can do it either way but if they will ever go to WDW without you they should have their own account. Once they make their account you need to link to them and link each of their family members to your profile.

4. Why does DH show up as friend and not family?

Next to his name it should say Edit. Click on that and then click the circle next to This Guest Often Travels With Me. He will move from Friends to Family.

Thanks!

Hope that helps!

You are wonderful!!!!!! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I changed DH to family. Once he accepted the invite and set up his account it gave me the option to change him.

Gotta RFID question here in lieu of the removal of the turnstiles ....

What if you choose not to get the MyMagic bands, can you still enter the parks by scanning your tickets?

I believe you can still use the old tickets, but eventually those are all going away in favor of RFID cards that can be used on the touch turnstiles.

I check daily for a purple option to appear as well! I don't have as many days as you so hoping it shows up fast?
Has anyone that has called lately inquired about if/when purple will be a choice?

DW wanted purple as well, and was not happy that it was not a color choice. All of the promotional stuff shows purple, but after some searching I found that it was never an option. Seems like Disney pulled the plug on that color for some reason.

Will the bands work on all turnstiles at the 4 major parks or do we have to find the RFID ones to use our bands? TIA

The turnstiles are different. The RFID turnstiles look like this:

The regular turnstiles look like this:

But yes, they have the new RFID turnstiles at all of the parks in Disney, and you should see them right away. They have actually removed some of the old turnstiles to put the new RFID ones in place.

Thanks. So what do you do? Get in the shortest line and use your tix or bands depending on what is available? Or is the RFID turnstiles always shorter for now?

I don't think you can have your park tickets linked to multiple cards or bands, and if you had paper tickets and linked them on the MyDisneyExperience website, you can no longer use the paper ticket. So you can either use the band, or the RFID ticket. If you have a band or RFID ticket, you go to the RFID turnstile. If you have a paper ticket and want to keep using it, don't link it to MDE or don't get it converted when you get to Disney, that way you can use the old turnstiles.

Hope that made sense.

Thanks for the reply. On a side note, I was under the impression that if I chose not to use a FP+ for a particular day, I would be able to use my tickets for FP- (I think that is what you guys are calling it). Is that not the case? In other words if I opt in for the MyMagic+, will I no longer be able to use FP-? I have been reading and doing research, but still have questions. Thanks.
