Any GOOD frozen chicken breasts?

I have the exact opposite problem. We by Tyson or Costco brand or Perdue. My DH will get physically ill from fat on chicken or any tough part, and will refuse to eat anymore after that one bite, so we obviously don't have a real problem with frozen. I can't stand fresh. They are dry, tough and otherwise in edible. I have tried every thing and I have been cooking for quite some time, but fresh are just awful.

I usually buy these at BJ's, both frozen and fresh. They are some of the best ones I've found. I sometimes found these at Wal-Mart. Here's a list of where they are sold. If your store doesn't have them, maybe you could ask them to carry them?

I agree the frozen ones that come in bags are yucky, not trimmed very well, and too much variety in sizes.

In the frozen chicken section of the store, I buy a box of chicken breasts instead. At pick n save, it would be Purdue brand. At woodman's its tyson. I prefer the purdue ones but the tyson is fine too.

Inside the box are about 10 individually wrapped breasts, all perfectly trimmed and all about the same size.

Kirkland (Costco) individually wrapped frozen skinless, boneless chicken breasts. However... be sure to put them on a plate when thawing... as sometimes the packages leak slightly.

:thumbsup2
The Costco individually packaged breasts and tenders are the best!
I love the way you can use any size portions you want because they are individually packaged. Switched over from a Sam's membership to Costco just for their meats.

I buy Costco's and also Omaha Steaks...........never a problem.

We thought about buying Omaha Steaks chicken breasts. I might have to just bite the bullet and get some. We have an actual store in out area so I would not have to order and have them shipped.

This is the entire reason I maintain a Costco membership, LOL! Everywhere else I have purchased from, they are fatty, poorly trimmed, and terribly tough when cooked.

The Foster Farms brand that my local Costco has is not quite as good as the Perdue brand carried by Costco in the state we moved from...but they are still better than any others I have tried.

I will look at Costco. I have gotten a couple of different brands there and not been happy. But I am not sure what brand they were.

This is SO me. I am completely grossed out by most meat and the moment I bite into something questionable, I am done. I cannot even eat chicken unless it is off the bone.

Are these found on the meat section, or the frozen section?

I am looking for somewhere that sells GOOD frozen chicken breasts. Most of the time they are ether really gross after cooked, or fatty. I want a good one without having to go buy fresh everytime I want chicken!

I buy the Purdue perfect portions ones (that are individually wrapped) and freeze those. They are perfect every time. I can get them on sale every couple of months 4 packages for $20.

I think that buying fresh ones and packaging them yourself, or buying the Perdue ones is your best bet for getting the best quality.

I buy mine from a local butcher and wrap them in tinfoil and bag them before freezing. And it is the best chicken I've ever tasted as well as cheap. I paid at least twice as much in the grocery stores. I buy 10lbs at a time because that's all i can fit in my freezer, but with just 2 of us it lasts for a while.

My only problem with the last batch was some feezer burn:confused3 Otherwise it was fantastic. Though we switch off on breasts or quarters depending on what the best deal is when we are buying.
