Any get the invite to the Disney Vacation Club Neighborhood Beach Bash

I called at 9:01 this morning and was told at 9:22 that they were already completely booked for the 7/23 party. I was dumbfounded! I asked for a supervisor and while waiting the CM came back to say that a slot for 5 had been held and released so we were able to book, wondering if anyone else has experienced not getting the party within the first 30 minutes of the first day of booking.

Okay, you really scared me there! I just got off the phone, and got a reservation for 9 of us for the 7/23 party. I don't know what is going on. I was not impressed with my agent's knowledge level (by the end, she thanked me for my patience, as I was her first person booking this), so I am still not 100% confident. But I do have a reservation number. At the end, she thanked me for calling Disney Dining, and I got the survey for generic Disney central reservations, so I wonder if they are forwarding these calls to them instead of handling them at MS. She asked for my resort reservation number, but not my member number (though she did say I'd have to show my member ID at checkin).

Can other people describe their experiences today? Successful? Unsuccessful? I cannot afford to be turned away at the door, because I've booked a cash night at the Poly to stay the night of the party...

Why am I not surprised. So basically if someone says they are sold out we should just call back. Glad I wasn't part of the first batch.

I just called the regular DVC # right at 8(9) she was definitely a DVC person because I had some other issues to deal with as well. I got right through after the regular DVC prompts, she left me on hold for a bit never asked for my res# and when she came back sounded like she was booking it then.She gave me the confirmation # after going through the particulars. I don't think it would be hard to empty the park before the party actually starts esp with wrist bands.

Yea, you called early, though reading about it sounds like the calls are now being sent to a overflow staff. When you call now there is a prompt in regard to just the bash.

I just called Member Services to confirm my reservation since it has been weird. I am good to go. There is a new option when you call to select 1 if you are calling to book the beach bash. That connected me with Dining reservations and they confirmed and he said he was able to book a reservation 5 minutes ago so he thinks there is still availability. So glad I didn't give up this morning, but if I had let it go without requesting a supervisor I would have given up when it wasn't really full. Frustrating, but glad to know it is all set.

We got through and will be at the 7/23 party as well (though we will be closer to 9:30 since I believe activities at the JA Conference are over at 9:00.

I called around 11:30am and got a reservation for 4 no problem. Confirmation number and everything. We are new to DVC; do these events typically "sell-out"?

I just booked today - wasn't sure I'd get in as we were unable to make the ressies on the first day. We got the 23rd for four people, however.

My experience with the agent was almost identical to yours. She really had no idea and knew hardly anything about the beach party bash. I was thanked at the end for calling "Disney Dining!"

I called at 8:40 this morning for the July 28 Beach Bash using the 1-800 number on my blue DVC membership card. I immediately got the prompt to press "1" for the Beach Bash. A lovely lady answered who knew exactly what to do. She signed us up, read me the rules, and gave me a 12-digit confirmation number. She then asked if she could help me with anything else. I said "Yes, I needed to add a celebration to my reservation." She then admitted all she could do was sign people up for the Beach Bash. I would need to call DVC back later to add the celebration. We are super excited about the Beach Bash!

I just got a reservation for July 28. I gave my reservation number which is at Vero and there were no problems. We are planning on switching to WDW for that night, but wanted to be sure we got into the party before doing so. So exciting.

I called at 9:24 this morning to book the beach bash. Pressed one and did not get put into a wait queue. Got a person that was able to book the bash with no issues. Asked about my experience on Wednesday and she said there were computer issues early on and the CM's could not see anything available when there was actually plenty available. She thought the kinks had been worked out as today was going smoothly. She was also able to confirm our reservations for the 7/23 party. I was still concerned as they asked for my DVC number but not my reservation number. Everything was in there okay. So we are booked for both parties. The CM suggested we do that in case of inclement weather, though they said today that if there were inclement weather we would be receiving information for any changes so maybe they have a backup plan?

We had a problem booking for 7/28. We have 3 studios booked because there were no 3 bedrooms available and we have 12 people, but only 1 DVC owner. They would only let us have 4 people atend, the ones in the room with the DVC owner. Anyone else have issues like that?
