Any get the invite to the Disney Vacation Club Neighborhood Beach Bash

We had a problem booking for 7/28. We have 3 studios booked because there were no 3 bedrooms available and we have 12 people, but only 1 DVC owner. They would only let us have 4 people atend, the ones in the room with the DVC owner. Anyone else have issues like that?
We are using points at the campground and were able to book 5 of us. We could have up to 10 at our site. Maybe call to get a second opinion or ask for a supervisor to clarify.

I've read that people have been able to get other members of their party included, IF, the other rooms were booked by the DVC member. So if you booked all 3 rooms with your points then yes it should be OK. I would call and talk to member services and not the beach bash cast members (which is actually Disney Dining). However, if the other 2 rooms were booked with cash by the other guest and they are not a DVC member, that could be why.

All three rooms books with member points, so we should be ok, but the CM on the phone still says no. We are escalating up.

ARe you talking to the regular MS CM, or are you pressing 1 for the beach bash sign up. I've read many post that the Beach Bash sign up is being forwarded to Disney Dining and not DVC, so most are just reading from a script. I would hate to book 2 rooms for myself and grandkids and not be able to add them. I've been following this since day one and have read many post of folks being able to add their additional family when booking the rooms via a DVC member on points. Good luck and post back. Though behind the scenes there may have been a problem with folks booking rooms that were not eligible too, but you certainly sound like you have a strong case.

Do you only have one member card? I mean, my husband and I are on the same membership, but we each have a card. It seems like they were saying that each party has to have a member with a card, so that might expand you to two of the rooms?

Ok, we called again and this time we had no problem signing up the 12 of us for the 28th. I guess calling right at 9 on the first day was a bad idea.

Glad to hear that you got it worked out. Have fun!

Called this morning at 9:40 am and was able to get a reservation for 3 people for August 4th. They didn't ask for my reservation number, only my DVC member number. Since it was a disney dining person I was talking to, and probably not someone looking at my existing reservations, makes me wonder if any DVC member could sign up for the event, regardless of whether or not they have a reservation for that night. Calling at 9:40 I had 0 wait, and got directly connected to a cast member. I am totally excited for this event. I'm cautiously optimistic that my 5 year old will be able to handle the late night.

I called at 8:30am and they took all my info. She wanted my resort reservation and verified my name and address. She then asked me which resort I was staying at and did I need transportation to or from the resort. She gave me Info about lockers and towels. Told me to have my dvc card and a picture ID when I arrive. Also that it may be cancelled for weather, but that they would contact me at my resort room if it's cancelled or delayed. Sounds like we got very different cast members from Disney dining. Of course she gave me my confirmation number. If you have more than one reservation you should cancel one in case if fills and shuts another family out.

We had the exact experience.

Yup, don't worry. I wouldn't want to prevent other people from getting in on the fun. Grizzly called back to cancel one of them.

I made a reservation for July 28th but not sure if we really want to go or not. I wish it had been announced at 180 days before I made any ADR's. We have dinner reservations that night at 8:00 for Be Our Guest (and you know how hard those are to get). THEN we also have the Keys to the Kingdom tour booked for 8:30 the next morning so we'll need to try to be at MK by 8:00 AM the next morning so I hate to be out until after midnight. I don't think the timing is going to work but didn't want to NOT book it in case I can work things out. I am going to keep hawking the dining site to see if I can change our BOG reservation. DH and DS both said if it comes down to choosing one or the other they'd rather do dinner at BOG. (We do have plans to go to a water park on the 30th too.) Since DVC never gives us anything FREE and since we never normally have the right timing I really hate to pass it up….but it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to try to do it ALL…. If I can't snag another BOG reservation I will call back by the booking deadline for the 28th (I think that's the 21st) and cancel it off. I really hate all this pre-planning madness these days.

I just made our reservation for the bash on Aug 11th. I reserved with DVC member services as I had other questions to ask as well, missing sliders see other post. The rep has happy to book but she mentioned that if I wanted to get into the park at 7 I would need a ticket as it was normal park hours then. She specifically mentioned the party did not start until 9:30 and buses started at 8pm. Did I miss hear her? I was hoping to be able to get in at 7 without a Typhoon ticket.

I believe when you call to reserve you are actually speaking to someone in dining reservations so she must have been confused. We verified with the invitation, DVC member website, and member services that you can enter at 7pm. Transportation from resorts doesn't start until 8pm but we were told you can enter without a ticket at 7pm.

Yes when I called the cm specifically told me I had to wait until 7:00pm to enter. Btw, I got my magic bands ladt week and didn't get sliders in either box. Yes I took the box apart and nothing there. Guess they ran out or stopped giving them out.

This is what I was told as well. I called this morning. She asked if I needed transportation and if so, it wouldn't be available until 8:00 but if I had a car I could enter at 7:00. She gave me a confirmation number but did not ask for my reservation number or resort name.

Nope! We got our second set of magic bands this week and got more sliders. Seriously I have like ten of these things now and I'm never going to use them. If anybody wants them pm me your address, I'd be happy to send them along.

we are dvc memebers and live close
