Made a GG ADR (dinner) for our last full day, which I believe we will be spending at EPCOT. Tempted to try Chef Mickey's that night instead, but thought maybe I'd just go with the more convenient GG. It will be our only character meal (we've been to our fair share before).

Make me feel good about my decision! Anyone?

We did the Garden Grill last week and loved it. It was our second time there in a year. The food is good ( Not great but good). Great character interaction with DD3, DW and myself. We weren't rushed to leave spent over an hour both times relaxing and having some fun with the characters. Dessert was great! DD3 loved decorating her own cupcake. Any questions just ask. Thanks!!

That's what I needed to hear! Thanks. I guess it figures that avoiding the more popular Chef Mickey's might work in our favor in terms of having a more leisurely time. Looking forward to it now!

We ate there in '06 and we loved it. We didn't feel rushed and it's neat that the floor rotates. Character interaction was very good. We really liked, because it wasn't too expensive and yet had a special atmosphere.

Ive been to WDW more times then I can count, and when I co-worker got back from free dining in 2006 - I asked him what his favorite meal was - he said Garden Grill. I was shocked... I had to try it.

We love it. We eat there every trip, now. :goodvibes

We have a reservation at the GG next month. We're looking forward to trying it, but can you tell me if it feels like you are spinning. I know it will be slow, but my DD (and myself :) ) get motion sickness and I'd hate to feel icky during dinner.:rotfl:

All I can say is this...."My family(kids included) LOVE Garden Grill!"

Great character intervention, great food and relaxing atmosphere!

We've been there 4 different times and never had a bad experience. The characters there are not rushed and the entire experience is pure Disney magic!

we've been to GG twice and I love the food. the scenic trip around the land is great as well. I liked the meal so well I would even do the character meal if we went without the kids

Never been, but have it scheduled for our upcoming trip, so glad to hear the good reviews!

I could totally feel the motion and needed to sit facing forward (with the motion) I get ill moving backwards. once I moved to sit facing forward I was fine

I like it because it's quite. You get to see Mickey, Pluto and C&D and honestly not a lot of people go there - usually - so the characters spend more time with you. Plus since the food is farm grown you can talk to your kids about how that effects the world and sneak in some educational stuff when they aren't looking.

We LOVE Garden Grill - we eat there each & every time we go. It's one of our favorites. I think the food is soo much better than CM's & the character interaction is awesome.

p.s....the wine selection rocks too!

This was always a fave of ours. I am avoiding a TS everyday for our next trip in 2010, and we will be fine, BTW Sunshine Seasons, and the varios CS in WS... But we always enjoyed the GG. The food was simple and to our liking, and the characters are always fun:goodvibes

We also love us some Garden Grill! We have been there during our last 3 trips, but we will not be returning this year due to the lack of characters. Last year we went to Liberty Tree Tavern, and we were very excited for it, but we were dissapointed in the food quality. Garden Grill is sooo much better, the cornbread rolls, salad, potaotes, catfish, and prime rib with mushrooms and wine sauce....yumo!!

I'm sure you'll love it!:)

No, you barely notice at all that it's rotating. Honestly the only way you know is, one, they tell you, but at the end of your meal you'll look up and see different scenary, but that's it. It's very slow. We were there over an hour, and only made about a half (if that) of a complete rotation.

The floor moves so slow we couldn't even tell it was moving until we looked up and saw different scenery!:rotfl: For a character meal, I thought the food was great, and the kids loved the "make your own sundae" dessert.popcorn:: It was not too crowded:crowded: like some restaurants where you're sitting on top of your neighbor. The atmosphere was very laid back and quiet, and the character interaction was fantastic.:mickeyjum I think the characters came to our table at least 3 times.:woohoo:

I get terrible motion sickness, when we had a pool I couldn't even vacuum it without dramamine. I felt nothing last week at GG. I had no problems at all. We were in a lower level booth with 2 tables to fit a party of 8, so I was facing out rather then backwards or forwards. I could watch the passing scenery, it was so slow it didn't bother me. I did take a dramamine every morning, just in case lol, but I don't think they last all day.

Another family who loves the Garden Grill! We thought the food was very good and the character interaction is great. It's also much more relaxing than a buffet, we love family style and not having to constantly get up and down.
