Any February verterans???

This will be our first trip in Feb. We have gone during Christmastime the past 3 seasons. LOVE Christmas, but want some straight up, classic Disney magic! It will be an 11 day trip (one day set aside as a non park day for a trip to Cigar City Brewing in Tampa!) The other 10 days are all Disney magic!! So we will fly in around the 1st, hang 11 days and party with the family! can not wait. Questions: : how are lines during this time? Also - are park hours ok? I'd hate to get run out at 6pm!! And finally ... Should I be afraid of our #1 and #2 rides (Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion) will be closed. I hear a lot about closings due to low attendance. But if you've been during that time, what was your take on the time spent?? Suggestions to avoid or steer clear of?? Thank you!!!

Depends on when you go in Feb. Presidents Day/start of Mardi Gras gets busy. Splash mountain is normally rehabbing along w/ one of the water parks. The park hours are shorter as are most lines & most of Feb. is value season. Have fun as it is a fun time to visit.

I go during the last week of February. I run the PHM and then stay the following week. I love going in February because as far as Disney goes it's not too crowded. Of course, if you put all those people into a park like Six Flags, for instance, it would be insanity!

When we were there last time in Feb we rode Haunted Mansion a few times with very little wait time. We also rode ToT back to back because the wait was so short. In fact, most rides that we had FP+ on they told us not to bother using the FP+ because the wait was so short and encouraged us to switch it for something else that may have a longer line.

You are going to have a great time. No crowds means low wait times. Yes, the parks close a little earlier. However, you can get more in during the day. if you like Splash and it's not under rehab, wear a poncho and just keep riding (most people don't want to get wet when it's not warm).

My suggestions, bring a jacket or two. It can get cold at night. Plus, don't be set on going to the pool (it's usually a little cold for that).

I had my first February trip this year. What a great time to go, as long as you avoid President's Day week/Mardi Gras! I went the last week of February and loved it. I had done several October trips, but now love February!

Pretty low crowds - the rides weren't walk-ons, but most had short waits. Only the headliners had fairly long lines (TSM, Soarin'), which is usually the case no matter what time of year you go.

I really liked the weather in February! Our first two days, it was warm enough for the pool/water park. Then it cooled off a little; too cold for swimming. It was very pleasant most days, with no humidity and temps in the 70s. It did get a little chilly in the early morning and evenings. We only had rain one afternoon, for about two hours. Glad I had a poncho! I absolutelly loved the lack of humidity in February!

Park hours were what I am used to with my October trips. Opening at 9:00 am, and closing anywhere from 5:00 PM (AK) to 9:00 pm (Epcot). Evening EMH allowed some parks to stay open a little later. The good news in February is that it isn't as crucial to take an afternoon break to escape the heat and humidity, so it's easy to go all day long.

Of course, there's a chance that your favorite ride might be closed, but remember they have to do annual ride maintenance sometime!
