There is probably going to be a cell tower in my area soon.
Has anyone had one put on their property or close by?
Does it have any impact on you?
Does it need lots of servicing?

Thanks!

Sorry to say this but my "feelings" are that they are AWFUL!

I say that cause I think they are unsightly, have "questionable" issues with safety (cancer causing etc) but you'd have to research some to look for it....

I have first hand knowledge with "power towers" and what they can cause and though they are not exactly the same as cell towers, it still freaks me out.............meters go OFF the charts with what they "throw" in the air~ yet we keep hearing they are safe...yeah and have you seen all the NEW info on the cell phones up against the head and cancer......

Sorry, but you asked.....good luck!:wizard:

Thanks - I had thought about that stuff -so you didn't shock me. I am going to see if I can find out some concrete scientific info.

Anyone else?

Years ago (when the cell phone towers were first being built) one was put on my Aunt's property (I think she was being paid $600 per month). She has never reported any problems. I don't think they require much in the way of service.

There is one up behind our house, on my uncles property. It's very wooded so we don't notice it much. Occasionally we will see a truck go up to work on it. They do pay a $500/$600 a month to the property owner for it to sit there.......they had considered an area behind my parents on their property but they would have had to create an access road. Uncles property already had access so they went with his.
