I am wondering if anyone out there has ever used http://www.zazzle.com/collections/disneyinkshop/ for making their own Disney t-shirts? Since you have the option of customizing your t-shirt with your own phrase and you have tons of licensed Disney images to choose from (and a wide rage of sizes), I was thinking about buying some shirts for our trip next June. My husband and I are taking my godchildren 12, 10 & 5 on their first trip to WDW and I thought I could put on the shirts "Our 1st trip to Walt Disney World" or something like that. Thought it would be cute for them to wear to the parks. If anyone out there has shopped at zazzle before, how was your experience? Any problems? Any surprises?

I haven't but someone on the Community Board did and I am pretty sure it's safe to say it was a disaster! After reading her story, I am SO glad I decided to just order the customizable ones from the Disney Store.

I don't have the link, but if you go to the Community Board and do a search for Zazzle, I'll bet you'll find it.

Here's one of the links to the poster's last update.

Thanks zulaya for the link. Definitely will not be ordering from zazzle. Glad I asked before doing anything.

 I am surprised to hear this! There was a thread a few months ago that turned me on to Zazzle. I finally ordered from them and received our shirts about two weeks ago. While not flawless, they looked pretty good...def. better than my own feeble attempts. I decided against the Disney Store shirts b/c I was able to truly design/customize my own on Zazzle. I don't have a pic online, but I will describe the shirt a bit:
I ordered a long-sleeve tee for myself and a ringer tee for my boyfriend. Found a great pic geared toward our specific trip and placed text ("Our First Disney Getaway") below the pic on the front of the shirt. On the back, near the collar was a black Mickey head with "December 2004" placed beneath it.
As for cost, it was a bit expensive, but as I said, the other factors outweighed the additional cost.
Hope that helps! :D

What exactly did you mean by "not flawless"? LOL, I'm a bit nervous now. Are they really fake looking? Did it start to pill after a wash? I tried to do some iron on heat transfers last year from a picture and I used the best paper I could find...etc and they still only made it through 2-3 washes before it started looking horrible. I ordered from Zazzle because I figured that they had Disney's product so surely it was of quality? I used my own art work though, not Disney. I found some on eBay but everyone said they used 'heat transfer paper' which in other terms I think means Iron On....LOL Been there and done that and it just didn't last. Ugghh, now I'm really nervous to see the finished products. How long did it take for your order to get to you? It states 24 hours for processing and then 2-3 for shipping.....but I figured that I'd give it atleast 1-2 weeks since we don't leave till October. Thanks for the insight :)

We did shirts for 20 of us in July and I was impressed at the quality of them lot better than I was expecting- I havent heard any complaints for the group yet and mines survived 2 washings (I've only had it for a month so havent done multiple washings yet)

Once the shock of textbook buying (400+) wears off I want to get a LILO one :)

We bought shirts for our kids last April from zazzle.com. Actually, 2 t-shirts and a baby-sized "onesie". I thought they were actually pretty good quality. The Toy Story images were crisp and bright and the personalization was done accurately. The shirts themselves were of a good quality as well. The images have faded more than I would like, but that is also due to multiple, multiple washings and stain treatments, etc. All in all, I would order from zazzle again.

I used them for some shirts for our trip two weeks ago. They have survived 2-3 washings so fan and still look great. I guess there will always be someone with a problem with any company on any given day. No company is perfect. All I can go on is my own experience. But, one word of warning...some of their shirts run really small!!

Sorry to alarm you...

What I meant was the artwork was a bit washed out (before laundering). However, I think this was more a result of the artwork I chose (my own, not Zazzle's). There was no significant difference in the shirt after being washed once. All in all, unless you have a talent for this type of thing, I would say save the hassle and use zazzle. (Whoa, totally did not see that one coming  )

Did anyone happen to purchase the larger sizes? I was wondering what to expect...run large...run small.....

I ordered two shirts for the children of friends in June. The entire hems of both ripped out after one washing! I wrote email after email for two weeks, finally got someone to respond with an RMA and returned them via overnight in mid July (within the 30 days).

I still haven't gotten a refund and I have written to every email address I can find in the lousy company with not a single response.

I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to zazzle.com.

What style of shirt were these? I've bought a lot of tshirts lately just to lounge around in and 3 of them have completely lost hems after washing them. But then when I look at the hems they are all single stitched and not a very good job at that, don't know who sews these things anymore! They aren't tight either, so I know I didn't pop one of the stitches and start a chain reaction...LOL I wondered though what style (scoop neck casual T, Baby tight fit tee, sleeveless tank)? I noticed the stitching is a bit different on the Premium ones, with taping/double hem...etc so I went ahead and paid the difference for them. I would expect them to honor a refund though for something that was obviously a fault of the item and not the user. I'm glad that the put warnings on the smaller shirts though to order 2 sizes larger or they'll be tight, as this can pop and ruin a seam too. I'd rather have them a little large then too small.

I honestly don't recall which manufacturer the shirts were. They were child size basic tees though. Further, they hadn't been worn before washing. Only washed because my friend washes everything before putting it on her kids. So the kids couldn't even have damaged the shirts. I am just so disappointed that they haven't even acknowledged my emails though! Interestingly, I ordered from them becuase they have a wider variety than the disney store, but when these didn't work out I replaced them with shirts from the DS and although less fancy they were infinitely better made (and cheaper).

That'll teach me to choose something other than disney!

I am hearing more and more complaints about zazzle. i would be leary of using them.
