My grandfather on my father,s side comes from Ballymoney.

Not me, but both sides of DH's family are. At least one set of Great grandparents on each side immigrated, DH could tell you from where. However, the funniest thing I found was that BOTH of DH's parents had the same Irish last name..... Which I guess is not an uncommon thing comming from Boston. He does get weird looks when he has to supply his mother's maiden name for things though.....

My full name is Colleen Mary Costello, so count me in! I didn't change it when I got married... It suits me! All Irish on Dad's side. Mom's Polish, so growing up with all those relatives, no one starved or lacked for conversation.

I hate to fly and will probably never see the real Ireland, so I would LOVE an Epcot Ireland!

Congrats on the All Ireland . We listened on the radio as Tyrone went on to victory. (Although my son could not understand a ting he heard).

I was in Williamsburg-Busch Gardens recently. I usually hate when anyone tries to commercialize and depict Ireland in this type of setting. All of the Leprechauns drive me crazy!!
The Irish dancers were good, although the swinging of the arms while singing is very cliched.
we didn't make it into the pub, so I don't know how authentic it was.

I wasn't really sure how to vote. I am 1/4 Irish, my father was 1/2 Irish, and my grandmother was full Irish. I guess the poll was for full blood, so I voted grandparent.

My Nana (mom's mom) was from Limerick. My FIL is from Ireland, County Cork. We are trying to decide if my children have more Irish blood than me, or if we are even. My dad has some Irish in him, but his ancestors have Scottish roots, and hailed from Novia Scotia. I consider myself Irish American, and hubby and kids are Irish American. We are an Irish family.

We have the Corned Beef dinner on St Patrick's Day, and DH drinks the green beer!
