I just wondered if anyone can tell me if it's safe to use Lemsips when pregnant? I think they are just paracetamol - in which case yes but I just wondered if anyone knew for sure. I have phoned my midwife but she has her answer phone on so I am waiting for her to call me back.

I woke up with a cold this morning and I am wary or taking anything - so I suffer - but I think I am about to curl up in the corner unless I take something!! :)

Your local pharmacy will also be able to help regarding what you can and cannot take during pregancy. Hope you are feel;ing better soon :)

I wouldn't risk it but then i'm not a doctor try just using honey and lemon juice in hot water. I lived on it when i was having Bec and had a cold :thumbsup2

NO.
Do not take these.

I agree! I didn't take them when I was expecting and I knew there must have been a reason.

It might say on the inside leaflet rather than the packet

Gems i hope your feeling better soon :) :grouphug:

My nurse at work said I couldn't take these when I was having DD (now 11), and I think I could only take paracetamol after so many weeks.

Sorry, I had to suffer too!

Hope you feel better soon,

Lynn

Feeling much better today - I must say that I am usually pretty quick at getting over a cold, so it's usually only a couple of days at the most, DH suffers for about 2 weeks if he gets them - so heres hoping he misses out on this one eh!

Thanks for your help, I hadn't got any lemsips, so I couldn't check the packet, I was going to get some if they were ok.
