Any dab hands at Poetry out there??

[Nutsy]

I need to write a Limerick of 25 words or less & it must include the words Koch (pronounced Kosh) & Outlander.

Here is what I've thought of so far, but I need the last line only have 6 words left to use.

Now a Limerick consists of 5 lines. Lines 1 & 2 rhyme & lines 3 &4 rhyme. Line 5 however must rhyme with line 1.

Ok, here goes..........can anyone finish it for me or re-write it in 25 words or less using those two words above.



There once was a guy named Koch

Saying "Oh My Gosh"

He bought an Outlander

The colour of Fanta

......................................................................................



Can Anyone help me with the last line ??

I need it by my Thursday (Your Wednesday).

Does that make any sense? I was also trying to think of a way to use "wash" like

"took it home and gave it a wash"

but I wasn't sure about that. I will keep noodling and get back to you!

I also was trying to use Wash, but could not do it 6 words or less.

Also DS thought of Squash, but that I found even harder to use.

Went out with his buddy, MacIntosh
Bought an Outlander
Felt so much grander
But poorer, oh my gosh

By the way what is an Outlander...

(maybe substitute friend for buddy, sounds better I think)

Robin an Outander is a car, put out by Mitsubishi. It's an All Wheel Drive vehicle, off road & on road.

Generally the limericks that flow the best have 8 syllables in the first two lines, 5 in the second two lines and 8 in the last line.

Here's what I came up with...

There once was a fella named Koch
Who said to himself "Oh my gosh!
I'll by an Outlander
and feel so much grander.
My friends will all think I'm so posh."

Oh wow thanks for that iluvtink. I've been doing letter by letter in my ordinary dictionary to try to find words that will work.

If you do this for a living, Nutsy, go buy "The Scholastic Rhyming Dictionary!" I bought it at my DD's school book fair years ago, and I use it all the time for cards, etc. Just post any word(s) and I'll look them up for you!

gosh, josh, nosh, posh, quash, slosh, squash, wash, brainwash, carwash, hogwash, mouthwash, my gosh, whitewash

blander, brander, grander, hand her, bandstander, commander, demander, disbander, expander, firsthander, headstander, Laplander, suntanned-er, Disneylander, reprimander, fantasylander ...

I think I'll look into getting the Dictionary. I might put my order in for my b'day even

Yes, it is a contest & you win a Mitsubishi Outlander. We, so need a second car, but can't afford to buy one. If by some chance we were to win one, it would be fantastic.

IF we win, you'll be one of the first to know & you will probably hear me shout for joy all the way over there I've never won anything in my life, but this is too good a chance to pass up, we need a second car something bad.

No I have never had the pleasure of visiting your country. I have always wanted to. It is a long, long trip.
A guy that works for us has been to visit Australia. His brother lives there. He came home with a picture taken of a spider in his niece's bedroom. It was as big as the Barbie doll's head it was sitting beside

Oh dear a spider as big as a Barbie doll's head.

That may have been a Huntsman, harmless to humans, but venomous to other spiders. I so don't like them, as they jump & are soooooo big. Little spiders I can handle but those big ugly things are so hairy & so creepy.
