We couldn't decide btw pulling son out of school during early March, or going toward the end of Easter week (3/28 to 4/3). Now our school district has changed proficiency testing dates, so we'll probably go Easter week. From what I've heard, Easter weekend and Easter Monday are really crowded, but it gets less crowded later in the week. We went in mid June last year and loved it and we're hoping it's not much more crowded than that.

Anyways, I went out today and bought some Disney $$ for ds for xmas. He doesn't know we're planning a trip.

We will be there at the same time! We went during Easter of 2001, and everyone had me so scared that the crowds would be unmanageable---but we had a GREAT time. We tried to be among the first into the parks each day, and then when the crowds started to grow, we'd go back to the resort and swim. We ate our meals early also, to avoid long lines. The weather was great, but Easter was in mid-April back then.

You'll have a great time if you just do a little planning.

I'll be there. Staying at Pop Century for the first time. Will be there 3/26 till 3/31.

Easter week is very, very crowded. We have been going at this time for the past 5-years, and it seems each year gets more crowded. Go to the parks early. We would leave by 12 or 1 PM and go back to the room, and then return to the parks around 5-6 and the crowds were much better. Use Fastpass and plan everything out! One nice thing is that MGM and MK are open late. There is always two showings of Fantasmic, Spectro, etc. People start to stake out a spot at EPCOT about 1.5 hours before Illum. Always try and go to the second/later showing of everything. Also, the waterparks were filled by 10:30 am every day (depending on the weather). Also, they would close MK for about an hour each day. By Saturday (4/2) the crowds will be smaller. Also, make your PS for Easter dinner and any other dinner you might want. It is crowded, but because of the school schedule Easter is the only time we can go. But we always have a great time and I really like the parks being open late. Just be prepared!!!

When we were there in June we arrived at the parks at opening, used fastpasses, went back to the hotel to swim, rest, refresh during the afternoon, and went back to the park at night. I did lots of planning. We used some priority seating or ate at counter service at off hours, or ate at our room. We had a wonderful time. In fact, we had such a magical trip I'm a bit worried this trip won't live up to our previous visit!

We went for Easter 2004. Actually we were there Tuesday through Friday, went to relatives for the weekend and Easter Sunday, and then went back to WDW for Monday and Tuesday. We found the crowds quite manageable. The crowds were much more than we were accustomed to, but with the parks open so late we really enjoyed all of our time. Make sure you do Early Entry when possible and take a break mid-day to gain the strength and stamina for the night. You'll have lots of fun if you go prepared.

We were there Weds. before to Weds after Easter 04 and going again this year FRi. through Fri. It is crowded for the weekend but manageable. Planning around kids schedule and there off week following Easter. No problems last year but make PS's as soon as possible. Still better than going during summer months.

Don't worry--that won't be a problem!! You'll have another magical time--I'm sure of it!!

Yeah, you're right. Now perhaps we'll find a good airfare. We're Buckeyes, too (Cleveland area). We drove last year and it wasn't too bad, but it would be nice to fly.

We'll be there, too, and my sister's family too! We went a few Easters again, and I said "never again", but I'm hoping to do some good planning and hoping the weather will be nice!

We will be there for Easter for the first time 3/28-31 at OKW for now. We tried to go two years ago and it did not work out. (We will be visiting in-laws in West Palm Beach before driving to WDW). Can't wait. Won't expect too much.

We were there in 2003 and had a great time. Just use fastpass and we used EE and never had a problem. It was quite a nice surprise because of the stories I heard.

We'll be there also from 3/26-4/2. This will be our first trip to WDW and we're totally excited! It'll be crowded but hey, we live near Los Angeles so we're used to crowds! See you there!

You won't be the only crazy one there at Easter. My son and I will be there from 3/23 - 4/1 staying at PC and OKW. DH is staying home. The 7 night DCL western followed by a week at WDW was too much Disney for him this summer (aacckk, there's no such thing as too much Disney!!!). We have been to WDW for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and numerous summer visits so I hope we will be prepared for the huge crowds. I really think as long as you have the right attitude (you can't see and do it all), you can handle any crowds. My son and I have been discussing what PS we want to make. We will mainly be going CS using Q & C vouchers, but a few sit down meals will be nice. I always say a crowded day at WDW is better than a day at work!!

We've been going at Easter for 13 or 14 years now. We just missed last year. Yes it's crowded but the weather is usually wonderful. So much better than going in the summer when it's crowded and HOT. Just be flexible. If a ride or show is just too crowded, return later. We sometimes will move from one park to another if we find it too crowded. We're not water park people so I don't know about them but the crowds in the parks are manageable. Enjoy!

My DH, DS8 and I will be there 3/28-4/2. I have been to MK during Easter week (several years ago) for just one day. I thought it was very manageable, but it may be more popular now. DH and DS8 have never been, so I figure they will not have anything to compare it to anyway. Just remember, if you do not get to see something, that is the perfect excuse for another trip!! See you all there!!

We are having our Grand Gathering 3/23-30 and my DD, also know as the Itinerary Queen, has it all planned with EE, priority seating, fast pass, etc. I've been there during the peak seasons before the planning is the key to a great visit. :flower1:

DH and I are returning for out 3rd Easter trip in a row and we wouldn't miss it for anything. We have our PSs already in place and plan to enjoy our resort and visit the parks if and when we want (the beauty of an AP!) I suggest you enjoy EPCOT on Easter Sunday because the MK can be gridlock!

See you there!

See you all there! We'll be at the Poly. 3/22-3/28, and we are one of the few crazy people who are going Easter/Spring break time and it isn't even our Spring Break then!!!! We have Feb and April breaks, but my birthday falls during this time (lucky me, why couldn't Easter be in April this year?)!:flower1:

Of COURSE there are crazy folks going Easter Week.... otherwise the parks and resorts would be EMPTY! :earseek:
