Any competitions going on?

We'll be there May 3-9 and we're considering splitting between ASSports and CB or just staying at CB. Right now, we're leaning towards the split, but I'm reading a bit and getting nervous that there may be youth groups there, making things a tad loud for us and my friend's daughter. I have no problems with youth groups being there, but it may make for a less-than-relaxing time. Just wanted to have all my info! And calm my nerves.

The Cheerleading and Dance Worlds competition ends April 29. Due to college finals/AP exams many teams leave on Monday April 30. Teams are usually at All Stars/CBR.

Those numbers are not direct numbers to the resorts; Disney does not publish those numbers.

Those numbers go to a CCC and are answered as if they are in the resort. The CM answering the call may or may not be aware of anything directly going on at the resort at that time.

Cheerleeding groups by the masses will be at all values, CBR and CSR from April26th to May 4th and they have been given a 4 day park hopper with their package...and yes..they will be very very loud! (I called Disney block booking to find this out)

When you called group booking did they say the athletes were staying at CSR? Or the safety symposium for trainers and coaches? Big difference there that needs clarification before people are scared away from their CSR reservations. If it's athletes it could defiantly get loud. But if it's just the convention area being used then you most likely will not notice them.
The link to the competition states the families and athletes are staying at CBR or the Allstars.

So I would avoid the allstars during this time period. I am not worried about them in the parks. You'll see groups, but it won't be everywhere you look. The parks are HUGE.
