Any chance of riding the frozen ride without a huge standby wait?

I suspect there will be incredible lines unless you rope drop or FP Frozen.

My suggestion for getting all 3 in:
Suggestion 1:
Rope drop Test Track. FP Frozen. For Soarin, try to get a 3rd fastpass or do it late at night. I suspect the 3rd theater will significantly reduce wait times at Soarin and add a lot more 4th fastpass availability.

Suggestion 2:
Frozen at RD. Then, still before 10 am, hit Test Track in single rider line. It's much faster than the regular standby line, especially early. Then FP Soarin.

Between ropedrop, a fastpass, and the Test Track single rider line, you should be able to make out ok.

I think suggestion 2 will probably work best for us.

At this point, I would expect it to be pretty crazy. There are not that many rides in EPCOT. If people are not touring the countries, eating or drinking, they are limited on rides to choose from. Of course, it is still doable. :)

With the boats, it is going to be a slow load. Malestrom always had long lines during peak times.
This is exactly my thinking as well. There were times when Malestrom would get a decent wait....I can't imagine what it's going to be like for the first few months with Frozen. Especially in the small-ish setting that is Norway. I'm guessing there will be some people queued up in the hot FL sun waiting standby!

I'm guessing standby waits are going to be insane, just because load times are slow. It just doesn't have a high capacity as far as riders per hour go. And with the majority of the capacity there is going to FP+, you'll see the standby waits growing quickly after rope drop. If you can't get a FP+ time for it, I would join the stampede of others trying to hit it at rope drop.

I've warned my husband about this one for us... we are going to be in Epcot on the 4th of July and I used our tier 1 FP for Illuminations out of worry about finding a good spot. My only plan is suck up whatever line is there at RD for FEA then head over to Soarin' for a long line, and maybe just skip TT altogether this trip. :sad2:

I honestly don't think it will be that bad outside of the opening month...once Soarin is back it shouldn't be that bad over there.

I see only 2 real options.
A. RD Soarin, TT Stand-by, Frozen FP+
B. RD Frozen, TT Stand-by, Soarin FP+

I don't think Soarin will be available as a 4th FP+. TT Lines should be greatly reduced and riding stand-by immediately after either one should be manageable.

In the case of option B, what if we book a pre park breakfast at akershus to try to get a few minutes on the RD rush.

I disagree, look at Toy Story Mania or Soarin years later. Even Peter Pan.
I also disagree. The lines for FEA will long for quite some time. I also don't believe that Soarin' will be an easy 4th FP and the 3rd theater will not put much of a dent in the wait times. How many rides does Epcot have again?

Tritto. All of this.

The difference is those rides are actually pretty cool. By all accounts, Frozen is just going to be a cutesy little boat ride with some sparkles and snow. The charm will wear off when people realize it's not that great.

Even if that's the case, it would take a very long time for everyone to figure that out on their own. WDW is a park of first timers.

Regardless, even if it turns out to be a dud (no idea if that will be the case), Epcot does not have many little kid rides. I expect FEA to be very busy for quite some time.

Word gets out fast these days. I have a feeling that this ride will be no better than its neighbor, Donald Duck & Friends running through Acapulco.

I don't find 7DMT to be that impressive of a ride. Word got out on that a long time ago. But it still remains one of the toughest FPs to get.

Besides, I don't think your average grade school Frozen fan reads social media. ;)

I actually hope you're right. I hope it gets easy to ride quickly so that it's not so hard to get onto. I just don't that's going to happen for a while. And about the time it dies down, the Frozen sequel will come out.

Get a Fastpass for Soarin for 10-11. Try to get an Akershus reservation for 8am-ish. Strategically take an hour to eat and then at 9am ride Maelstrom (never forget- RIP). Then go to Test Track and do the single rider line. Then use your Fastpass for Soarin. Just a thought!
