... for a day at MGM? The park opens at 8:00 that day, and we want to be in there right when it opens. That's what's going to make it hard, I think, but it's our only MGM day, so we want to be there from the start. We'll be on the Deluxe DDP, so I'm open to any suggestions. We're staying at ASMo (so sad.. when I go with my family I stay at BWV but this is my first trip with DBF and we can't afford it yet!!), which worries me transportation-wise for getting to an early breakfast on time. I wish we could rent a car, but at our age the prices are outrageous.

We also have an ADR for lunch at Prime Time for 1:00, another reason I want to eat as early as possible....

The earliest ADR I could get at Cape May (never been, so I wanted to check it out..) is 7:30.... I know that won't leave enough time for eating and getting over there. We can eat and walk super fast, but not THAT fast!

Any suggestions? We might just go with a quick breakfast at Starring Rolls once we get through with TOT and RNR, but I'd rather do a TS before the park opens if possible.

TIA! :goodvibes

How about getting a late ADR at Cape May ? You could go straight to MGM from ASMO, and enjoy the park for a couple hours, then take the boat over to the Beach Club for a late breakfast. We were at Cape May last week and really enjoyed it.

Another option is Hollywood & Vine inside MGM, with the Playhouse Disney characters.

Breakfast at the values food court is okay, but if I was paying for the Deluxe DDP I would want more for my money - JMO.

We made an early morning for Hollywood and Vine to get a jump on the crowds at MGM.

I would stick with Cape May and keep calling to be sure there are no earlier ressies available. We ate at Cape May for breakfast in the summer and it was great! We even called later that afternoon to make ressies for the next morning. MMM Good!!!

Cape May at the Beach Club is soooo good, we make sure to eat there on every trip

If your goal is to be at the park as soon as it opens, then your best bet for breakfast is just to get something quick in the food court at your resort. It wouldn't make sense to get to the park at opening just to spend the time in a restaurant.

Cape May is wonderful. You will love it. But if you want to get to the park for 8:00 you should be leaving at 7:30, not sitting down to eat. Plan on sitting for an hour to eat there. The Beach Club has a nice breakfast selection at it's quick serve counter. I would get a quick bite at 7 AM before leaving the hotel (there are places to sit and eat around that part of the hotel) OR go to the park, hit one ride, then grab a quick bite at the food court. Early mornings are hard with the meal thing. I would say to get a reservation at H&V for 9 or so but you do have that 1 PM lunch. That may be too much food for one day. But we really liked the breakfast offerings at H&V. We did a couple of rides, then had breafast. It worked out well for us.

Side-Note: If you decide not to do to Cape May and MGM on the same day you should still go for breakfast there a different day!

I am sorry.... I thought you were staying at the Beach Club. I guess I did not read close enough the first time. Clearly, ignore the suggetion of the counter service at the Beach Club..... I would get on a bus for MGM, hit a couple of rides during EMH, then grab a quick bite at the food court or get a reservation at H&V. Either way, you are in the park early and gives you enough time before lunch.

Thanks everybody for your help!

When I called about Cape May, they said the earliest they will be serving breakfast is 7:30... I think that's also what it says on allears so it may be the sad truth....

I think I will save the DDP credit and just pay OOP for a quick breakfast in the park after we get the major stuff out of the way, but since everyone is talking about how great Cape May is, I'm going to try to fit it in somewhere along the trip!! I'm actually starting to think I've eaten there before; I used to stay at the Beach Club before we switched to the BWV, but I was probably 11 or 12 at the time... It's starting to come back to me, though! And it seems like good vibes!

Thanks again for the suggestions :flower3: !!

I vote for a quick bite at your hotel, and holding out for lunch... Prime time serves HUGE meals...

That's what I'm thinking, too! This will be my 13th trip (I'm 19...) and I have never not eaten at Prime Time - the delicious milkshake alone fills me right up! I'm going with my DBF (his first trip!), which is what I worry about, because he can eat A LOT. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that I don't want a buffet (even if it's a great one!) to ruin one of my favorite meals of the trip!!

It makes me feel better when people agree  so thanks!
