Any bra suggestions for the heat?

How do you find something that is comfortable in the heat? I am a DD cup but perky enough to wear a tank type shirt with built in bra but need something large enough to fit but a little more modest for blasts on cold air. :rotfl: Does anyone know where to find a tank with a built in that would fit a DD cup? I know I am always miserable in the heat with a padded underwire.

I'm a 34D and I buy my tanks with the shelf bra at The Gap. They're roomy enough to hide the girls without blousing out around the rib cage and tummy.

And I wear Petals for the blasts of cold air.;)

(ok, well one trip I forgot the petals and had to use multiple Band Aids :rotfl2: )

I was looking at tanks with built in shelf bras and wondered how tankini style swimsuit tops would work. That's pretty much all they are and most have pretty good coverage and support. My tankinis are long enough that they don't show any tummy area--they drape over the waist of the matching swim mini so they would do the same over shorts/skirt.

Is there a dress code that would prevent wearing a tankini?

I am the same size and found the tanks with the built in bra at kohls (these r my favorite). But you can find those anywhere. target. walmart, gap, old navy.

OMG these petals are just what I was looking for!!!! So excited must find some this week. thanks for sharing.

I am still a thread killer:confused3. Anyway I did pick up my petals :confused3yesterday and I am so excited and feel much better about my shirts now. Only 6 more days to go. I am getting so excited.:banana:

Bump. And bump. :rotfl:

Been wanting to know about this myself. HATE wearing a bra at WDW and want to find the coolest one possible.

just go flashmountain style..it's disney no one cares and it will make the men want to take trips there more often..well, worth the price paid.

let your inner girls go :hippie:

Right now they're on clearance..so sizes and colors may be limited but they are pretty awesome. I'm also a dd that can get away with the built in bras but I hate being squished in the heat. These are actually underwire bras built into the tanks and are really more comfortable.:thumbsup2

I'be been cruising the boards for months now getting prepared for next months trip and have kept pretty quiet. I can't beleive this thread! I'm in stitches! Who would have thought we'd be discussing "keepin' em from floppin em's" on the DIS boards! I'm definitely not telling my husband about this topic. He thinks I'm nuts enough reading the boards as much as I do!
That being said, I have got to check out the Breezies.

As far as I know there is no dress code at the parks that would prevent you from doing this. Landsend has great tankinis made for d to ddd cups. If you want, you could always wear a rashguard/swim shirt over top (Landsend also has these). Naturally you will want to also wear a pair of swimshorts, or athletic shorts. Then you can just soak yourself if you get really hot. I have done this and it works great. The tankini and swim shirt will dry very quickly.

Ha Ha! My dad always called them 'haldsemframfallen" - said it was German!!

This is what I'm planning on! My tankinis are like tank tops too.

i bought a Bali Active today. it's supposed to be made of a breathable fabric. my fingers are crossed.

I just ordered Breezies from QVC, and I hope I like them. I need new bras anyway and have been putting off shopping for them since I really dislike that.:rolleyes1 Thanks for the great ideas!

Where did you get your petals and what are they made of?

I have something called "dimmers" but they are silicon and I am thinking they will be two hot for WDW.

Thanks!

Check camis/tanks by Rhonda Shear on HSN. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm tempted--when I'm ready to replace some existing tanks! :)

I got a catalog from the Hanes/Bali Outlet and saw something I thought might be great--non binding, comfortable, lightweight. I bought one today to try and LOVE it. It's almost like not having a bra on but gives you a little support. It's not something I would wear in all situations but for hot, humid days it is great.
:thumbsup2

It's a Barely There Crop Top made of microfiber damask. The tag says $14 but I got it for $10 at my local Hanes/Bali Outlet.

YEAH....RIGHT? I'm a guy and at first I was hooked and kept reading and then I said, "Ewwwwww," and then I said, "Did she just say double D's" (as my eybrows lifted) and then reading on, I said, "Where in the hell is a mod when you need one?" This has been one roller coaster of thread. I like bbooobies just like the next guy (well, not so much our DIS podcast crew :lmao:), but I didn't think I'd be discussing them in the context of Disney.

I just picked up two packs from Target. $6.99 and they are good for 6 uses each pack. Figure that will be enough for my two weeks because some of tanks are well supported and I won't need them those days.
