Any bra suggestions for the heat?

OK, I have to ask. I have been looking for these Playtex cooling bras in stores and online, the only ones I have found are not underwire. I found on Amazon they had them but are no longer available. Can you get a cooling bra in underwire? I too am a DD and can't imagine not having underwire.

If you would like something comfortable with an underwire for support, as well as moisture wicking material. I would go to a bra shoppe and ask for a bra made of material called 3D technology. I have several of these bras for summer and love them. They are comfortable enough to wear all day and night if need be, and they actually work in the most humid and hot days. I will warn you that these are not cheap!
I look at mine as an investment and have spent years building up bra drawer.
To date I am up to 11!
This has for me turned into a passion, some collect shoes, purses, I collect bras!

I love my Wacoal Sport bra with moisture wicking. It is very comfortable and has good underwire support. I also like the straps, they fasten similar to a swimsuit so you can choose the length you want. Best of all it doesn't cut or bind. Again, it wasn't cheap-but it may be the best $62 I have ever spent.:rotfl:

I know what you mean. I seriously think I should own stock in Victoria's Secret! I haven't done a total count, but I'm sure there are way more than 11.... and they are all matching sets.

....sorry, Don, another over-share.................... :rolleyes1

I hear ya! I probably have at least 30 -40 bras - probably more. I have them in all different colors and styles. When I wear strappy tank tops, I like to wear a matching bra so that the straps coordinate!

In Disney, though, I usually stick to bra-tops during the day (with the occasional sports bra) and regular bras in the evenings. I'm not that big - 32C, so my only thing I stress about is what happens when entering the cold buildings....

But now I'm getting all these great ideas from everyone, but don't really have time for serious shopping, as we leave at the crack of dawn on Friday. Oh well, ideas for next trip!!!

Make many magical memories!!! :yay:

Don't they make something in coarse mesh so when you put on your blouse or muu-muu over it you are not ending up with two full layers that get you all perspiry?

Better still, they need to invent something that holds the breasts up and away a little to reduce the skin against skin contact just underneath. For both guys and gals, try holding your elbows a little away from your sides as you walk, feels cooler with more air circulation around your upper arms, doesn't it?

After 2 kids you think I would be bigger up there but I'm still the same old 34 b. So I can get away with the gap tanks with the built in bras also. I don't even own a sports bra so I'm thinking of just using my regular bra. I don't have much of a issue with staying dry there either. There has been some great suggestons.

Thanks Ladies

I am just going to wear my regular bras but I am bringing one for each day so I don't have to wear one twice after it gets sweaty.

(I have a tons of bras too!)

Just to add some oh-so-lovely mental image to those asking women to go without: When I was in college in the late 70's, in a sex-ed class the professor had some amature movie footage that had been shot on a South Sea island in the 40's. At that time, the women there traditionally went topless and gravity, multiple pregnancies, and prolonged breastfeeding took it's toll. There was a woman on the footage, topless, with a small baby on her back. When the baby started crying, she just took her breast (which hung down to her waist) and threw it over her shoulder so the baby could nurse while on her back! :scared1:

Remember, support is a good thing! (A comfortable thing too.)

bumping to find out what "cooling bra" would be the best to get nowadays!

This is the best sports bra ever created!!:worship:

I've always been a bigger-on-top-than-anywhere-else girl (32DDD... and that's AFTER a reduction surgery ) so this is something that I've been dealing with for a long time. The Wacoal sports bra is a real life saver. Since it has underwires it has lots of support for bigger girls, and is tight like a "normal" sports bra (which means even MORE support), and the material keeps you cool and comfortable all day.

And best of all? It doesn't give the appearance of the dreaded uni****. :scared1:

When we were at MK last October there was a woman walking around braless and they were bouncing off her KNEES, I kid you not. I don't know how she could stand it! She really could have benefited from this thread!

I found some awesome sports bras at Wal-Mart that were on sale for $5 each and I love them! I've used them for every WDW trip (& when ever we go to Busch Gardens). I have gone with just a normal bra on before and oh my goodness the difference. I don't remember what the name of it is off of the top of my head.

I just looked up the Wacoal sports bras due to all the suggestions. While it's nice to finally see a sports bra that is adjustable and has a normal back (not the sport back,) the straps look REALLY thick. It looks like they'd be hard to wear with a tank top without totally seeing your whole bra strap.

I'm taking some Under Armor moisture-wicking bras. They're sports bras, but not the squishy kind. They pull on over the head (no back closure), and they're shaped more like a cami than a sports bra. The fabric is ultra soft, and there are no seams or wires. FWIW, I'm a B/C, so I think these bras provide plenty of support.
