Any Best Buy employees

I took a pt job at best buy because things were looking shaky at my work. I'm trying to understand the employee discount. I know it is cost plus 5% but how do you find out what are good things for an employee to buy. I don't know how long I will work there but I have been planning to upgrade some electronic type items in the home. Since I may not be there for very long (or maybe I'll end up there forever) I'd like to make a few purchases that make the most sense. I don't want to ask somebody to look up every single thing all the time. Any tips?
