Any Benefit to registering with MDE before I buy my tickets or need ADRs?

Not going until March 2017. Large group (16 total) and I am ring-leader despite the fact I last went in 2011 (pre-MDE and FP+ etc).

So should I jump on MDE now?

IF so, why?

Can't hurt to get your group all set up and linked as family and friends if you're thinking about it right now. You have two choices: you being the only one with an MDE and you being "parent" of everyone OR at least one adult in each sub-group has their own MDE that you link to each other. Then Play around with it a bit to see what the app has (wait times, dining info, fastpass area). But no, the only "deadline" by which you'll need it is in time to make your fastpass selections.

I use it during lunch to dream and snipe at ADR's. It's a lot of fun. I check park time and waste hours on it when I'm bored at the in laws.

Ok, and does it help to get familiar with the interface? Even without park tix linked can I go into the FP+ and ADR stuff for testing?

I used MDE to watch wait times for MONTHS leading up to our trip to help me pick FP+. I may have even made a spreadsheet, but that is just me. I am little crazy...

You can look at the ADR info any time. Fastpass you really can't look around until you have a ticket linked, because you just get a message about "valid park admission required". The FP interface has recently changed and I'm not sure whether any of the youtube videos that used to give a good overview have been updated to show new choices.
