Thanks loads for all your feedback and comments, such a shame the US are now out of the running, it would have been nice to see them hang on til the next round. We're finally through to the quater finals after another nailbiting game so Roll on the 30th June and we'll (maybe) make it to the semis once more.

They better start playing a little better. They got outplayed yesterday. It seemed like they were just hanging on, waiting for Beckham to get a chance to do what he does best (and did, obviously )

yes, but thank goodness he came good, no one bends it like Beckham but I agree, they didn't play well. Poor Becks was physically sick during the game, a combination of feeling unwell and the heat I guess, but we're back on a four four two for the next one, so hopefully with Crouch up front with Rooney we'll see them play as well as we know they can.

Unfortunately I missed England's game, but I do know the results. We were travelling to a Christening in a different state. We tried to get the game on the radio and found it in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish, but we could figure out if there was a score, we listened until we lost reception.) I would like to think that they will be fine against Portugal since Portugal will be missing some of their great players. That game was crazy against Holland. I wish they would of put Ruud in, I thought that he could of made a difference.

Oh well! I am pulling for France today - go Henry !!!!!

We're watching this year for the first time. DD20 is very interested and she won't miss a match if she's home. We never knew what we were missing.

DH grew up playing soccer with most of the guys on the national team, so it's always exciting for him. So sad they got knocked out, but they played terribly since the start of the whole deal.
