Any advice specific to the Magic, or March cruises?

Looks like we'll be sailing on the Magic to the Bahamas in March if all goes according to plan. Other than there's a new Tangled stage show (yay!), I know almost nothing about the Magic and haven't set foot on a cruise ship of any kind in almost 20 years. Not sure if there's a thread about the individual ships I should look at (other than the info on the DCL page)? And what is sailing in March normally like? Thanks for any insight :)

The Magic is great, we were on it this past March and had a great trip. I would recommend the following:

1. read to old navigators for sure, you will get a picture of what daily activities are available
2. book excursions as soon as you can online as many of the good ones fill up fast.
3. if you book concierge, the extra service you get is amazing. This will also most likely let you book a cabana on Castway Cay.
4. book and select your dinner seating time as soon as you can. Main dining fills up.
5. weather was incredible the whole trip but it did take the captain until 10 am to get docked at Castaway due to the high winds that day.
6. I would recommend Sylvester as your server if you eat at Palo. we had him for a brunch and dinner and his 12 plus years of experience on board really showed.
7. Have fun.

Thanks guys! I didn't realize there were old Navigators available. I'll check those out :) Finalizing a couple details and hoping to have it booked in the next week or so!
