Just curious. I have a travel agent friend who told me that I would hate going on a Disney Cruise since I dont have any kids. Has anyone gone on one that does not have kids? Really curious on your experience / thoughts.

thanks!

I've never sailed without my kids but I beg to differ. I would have a wonderful time and would love to do it one day. There is plenty of adult activities to keep you busy.

I'm 31, have sailed 7 times with Disney, and never had any kids with us. I will never do another cruise line!

My DH and I went on a disney cruise in January and had an amazing time. It was probably the best vacation we have ever had. There is plenty to do (or not do if you just want to lounge around). The kids have their own space and while we saw them around the ship it wasn't like we were surrounded by them all the time. There are plenty of quite places to sit and enjoy the view, read a book, talk with each other, watch movies, eat, take an art tour, enjoy the spa, sit in the hot tub, and tons of other stuff. We are doing it again in September!

Are you a Disney fan? I am going on my first cruise ever on the Dream in just 3 wks, with my mom... No kids. We are both totally convinced that since we enjoy Disney, we will love a Disney cruise!

We've taken 10 and counting. We are in our mid 50's. Love DCL. They do a great job at keeping the adults happy on their own part of the ship. They have lots of entertainment for adults as well.

Are you a single male? I know that I've gone multiple times with friends of mine...I'm a female....and have had a great time. I'm not 100% sure that a guy would have AS good a time.
But the clubs are nice, and you'd meet people your age, for sure.

We loved our first 2 cruises with the kids and our next will be a 'quickie' (3 day) LOL on the Dream without them. Believe me I lobbied for longer but I'm happy nonetheless. I'll certainly report in mid March when I return.

My wife and I just returned from the Dream MV and had a great time! We did 4 days in the parks, then 4 days on the dream; Disney without kids is GREAT!

I sailed by myself on the mousefest cruise in '08 (nothing like sailing with lots of other disney fans) I really enjoyed it.

Took my mom on my most recent cruise and we had a fantastic time! Saw Alfred and Seymour and almost bust a gut laughing so much.

We have been on 19 Disney cruises and we are all adults. We travel with my parents, my husband and I and our grown children and spouses. The youngest is 24 and the oldest is 71.

All 3 age groups love the Disney product. There are plenty of areas for adults only, and plenty of things to do for all ages. We just got off the Dream and loved loved loved it. All of us are re-booked for a B2b on the Dream in October.

One of the things that Disney does well is separating the adult areas from the children's areas. We especially love the Cove Cafe and adult pool areas of the ship.

We have also done multiple Disney cruises without the kids, we have a blast. Next one is for the anniversary in 7 days!:cool1:

I'll let you know around April 1st.....DH and I are going on our 5th Disney cruise, 4-nights on the Dream. BUT it's our first without the kids. I know my husband is wishing the kids could go along, but they are teenagers in high school and they've already been on a Disney cruise this year. Plus, we need a little get-away of our own. It's been a long winter in MN.

Truly the best times me & hubby have ever had! No children & together 15 years. We will not sail another cruise line! Serenity Beach @ CC is simply wonderful!

Your travel agent friend is WRONG. We're about to embark on our 6th DCL cruise, and we have no kids.

Hmmm, I wonder if your friend ever spent a day on Serenity Bay? Something tells me the answer is "no"....;)

If you've never done DCL, do it! It's an experience everyone should have.

Speaking for myself, when DH and I vacation alone it isn't on DCL and that really is because when we want an adult experience we don't want to have it with a bunch of other peoples' kids. If I wanted to be with kids I'd take along my own. :) Other cruise lines are more geared toward adults and we like that on occasion.

we don't have children and have been on 3 disney cruises in three years and have never had an issue. As a matter of fact,my husband thought he would hate cruises and now I can't get him to do anything else.
If you think it would bother you, just go when most kids are in school.
We've gone in summer and fall and not had a problem.:thumbsup2

My wife and I have done 8 Disney cruises, and we do not have kids. My first was at age 19, and now I'm 27. We love it! However, we are Disney fans, so that helps!!

If you like Disney, I say go for it!!

My DH and I (both in our 50's) have no kids and have been on 3 Disney without kids. We love it. There are plenty folks onboard without children. Go and have fun!!!
