Any adoptive families going to be in WDW 4/25-5/3???

Hello!!! My dh, our two sons and our little girls, ( adopted from Korea) will be in Disney 4/25-5/3. I was wondering if any other adoptive families will be there than, too.

Love to hear some responses. We were there in January with our two trans-racial adopted children DD 4.5 yrs and DS 1 yr. With all of the other week-ends they have at Disney (Cheerleading, Gay days, NJ etc) it would be nice if they had one for adopted and foster families.

Thanks Deb305! We are really looking foward to going. We will be celebrating Elena's airplane day, the day she arrived home.

Lisa - It looks like we're going to miss you by a day ---- DH and I, along with our three children (all adopted from Korea) will be arriving at WDW on May 4. DS is 13 years old, DD is 6 years old, and our youngest DD is 17 months old. We just celebrated "gotcha day" for our older daughter last week and will be celebrating DD #2's first gotcha day in about 2 weeks. We'll be in WDW for my birthday, our wedding anniversary and Mother's Day. It will be a "magical" trip for sure!

We are going to be at WDW 4/30-5/8 to celebrate the one year anniversary of bringing our daughter home from Guatemala. She is now 16 months old and our son (bio) is 4. What a great place to spend a special day!

Myself, DW, and 6 1/2 year old DD who is adopted will be there 4/17 to 4/24. I agree, that it would be cool to have something for adoptive families. Hope you guys have fun!

Agree that an adoptive family weekend be so cool! Darn, we usually travel late April/early May but will not be going until 5/16-26 this year. Love to hear from other adoptive families! Ours includes 2 daughters: one 7 from China and the other 4, unexpected domestic adoption.

Oooooh! An adoptive families weekend would be great! Our trip to the World will be later this month, so we'll miss you. But I wanted to share that we are an adoptive family as well. DD5 and DS3 are both from Korea. We're hoping to celebrate our daughter's 6th gotch day at WDW in December. It's nice to meet other families on the board who "look" just like us!

Lisa--I live in Ocean County and we used Spence Chapin in NY..my kids are almost 2 and almost 4..

I think an Adoptive Family Day is a great idea!! Our DS (16) is adopted from Korea. We have been to Disney many times over the years (the first when he was four - which in my opinion is the absolute best age for Disneyworld). Now that he's older, it's a little harder to get him to visit the Mouse, but I bet he'd love an Adoptive Family Day.

Maybe Disney will get the message!

We will be at AKL for the last three nights from 5/5-5/8. I think we just miss your stay there!! We will be at the WL from 4/30-5/5. We also have the Princess Breakfast scheduled for 5/1. Are you going to that?

Hi Lori, We are doing the Princess breakfast on 4/28. I can't wait to get Disney . We have snow and ice here today. We fly into FT. Lauderdale on the 16th. We are going to Pompano Beach for 9 nights than driving up to Disney fo 8 nights. We fly out of Orlando on 5/3. We are counting the days.

Not going, and not yet an adoptive family (haven't even started the Home Study yet, but we have a lawyer and she's looking for a mom for us), but I hope some year in the future we will all be able to get together for an "Adoptive day" in WDW!

Wow! What a great topic. My husband, my four year old son (adopted from Korea, through Holt) and I will be at the Beach Club from 4/8-4/13th. (We'll be at Vero Beach for a few days before we get to WDW.

I'm noticing lots of NJ adoptive families. Wondering if we've run into each other at home?
