Any 4/3 speculation?

Any speculation on a potential buy 4 get 3 or 5/2 deal like last year? I know that was a direct result of the economy, but a girl can dream, right?

According to Mousesavers historical data, the 4/3 deal was released on 9/28.

We are trying to plan a mid-November trip. I might be waiting until the fall to book anyways since we are moving out of state and have no idea what the absentee policy is in DD's new school.

I think the offer was for the latter part of De and the new year though, right? I don't think it wil lbe for Fall, but you never know.
We used it one year when they offer 4/3 for Values too, plus a $200 gift card. That was awesome for us

I think I read on Mousesavers that the 4/3 deal was from late October thru the following spring. I had several friends who went during that time and got great deals.

The economy has picked up somewhat this year, so maybe the days of great deals are over? I'm still figuring out how to get that 40% pin! I got one for the first half of the year, but haven't gotten one for the second half yet

Pin or no pin, we'll go. But it's always worth looking for the best available rate!

**4/3 was Jan-June - you were right! I just checked. Don't know why I thought it began earlier in the fall?

My opinion is that the economy still has a long way to go before it gets back on track and the majority of people can spend extra money on vacationing again. The vacation industry in general has taken a hit. There are deals everywhere for island destinations and cruises, so I think with patience that for those of us going in the fall, we may see something along the line of discounts that's worthwhile. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

I wrote this on another thread,but when I go to the Disney website on my iPod touch and click on the Special Offers link on the homepage a graphic with Captain Hook, Smee and the Crocodile shows up with the words:
"It's Time to Snap Up a Great Deal!
Get 2 more when you buy 5, or...
Get 3 more FREE when you buy 4"

It only shows up through that link on my iPod touch, not on my laptop or desktop. I called Disney to ask about it and the CM said it must be an old page, but I've refreshed it a million times and the other specials on that page are the current specials. It doesn't link to anything though which is strange. The CM said it may be something that they are working on, but until it's got more info attached to it than they can't do anything. Does anyone else have an iPod Touch that can check to see if it shows up on theirs? I'm starting to feel like people think I'm crazy!

BUT, I'm fairly confident they will offer the buyfree deals again at the very least during offseason. As others said, while things are finally beginning to look up, its going to take awhile...

The only way we'll head back to WDW next year is with buy4get3 free... especially since we've seen what BeachClub & Poly are like!!

I was surprised (and not) to see some of the dining deals changed to quickservice only. I think disney makes more money off resort incentives than free dining.

DH and I are hoping, hoping, hoping for the same 4/3 deal as last year. I just put down our deposit on our room only reservation for Jan. 15-22. The only reason we added the extra night last year was to take full advantage of the 7 night deal. I hope it works out, I'll be on here very, very often in September! That was how I found out about it last year, and booked it the same day! CSR here we come again!

I really think it depends on how much demand they generate with the current offers out there. Disney's response to this economic downturn has been very aggressive in competing for $ from those still able and willing to vacation. If they fill the rooms, there'll be no need for deals, if bookings are down, they'll continue to come out with offers. As for the form of the offers, I suspect the marketing types and bean counters have done cost/benefit analysis on the 4/3 promotion and what those numbers were may determine whether it'll be offered again and whether it'll be tweaked like the value fd becoming qs has been.

I'm sure some kind of discount will appear for the fall/winter months. And I agree that it will be dependant upon what current bookings are for those time periods.

I'll happily take a room discount (any one! last year I used a 20% off SSR) or 4/3. We didn't use the dining plan because it doesn't fit the way our family eats/travels.

I would think that those fall discounts will be coming in the summer months, so I'll be keeping my eyes open

I think this year, they will just be slowly letting out room discounts, to test the waters.

If they need to fill rooms, there may be some kind of other discount, like maybe a bit more off rooms. I don't think we will ever see the 4/3 deal again.

Let's not forget the extra move folks are doing towards US/IoA for Harry Potter.

That's why there's been a more aggressive summer in terms of offers, hence a delay in fall offers. I expect this trend to continue, and we'll probably won't see anything until August for late fall.

They'll push the exisitng promos (FD and %off rooms) to get those bookings up for early fall, then they'll start concentrating in late fall/winter.

I still think if they are desperate, they should go for a 4/3 but including dining (ie pay 4 days of room/tickets/food, get 3 free).
