Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

You guys are the best!!!!
Thanks for all the info. Yes we are near Phila. only about 30 miles outside. I really look foward to metting all you kind people.

Ps Rose your funny Thanks Peg:D

Hi Gloria,

Thanks for explaining the signs - I "get it" now. I'll see if I can work out how to make one. I'm really looking forward to meeting some fellow DIS members. This is my 4th disney trip using the boards and we've always lime greened our strollers and bags yet still never met anyone.
With regards to the Aussie accents we do have a tendency to talk a bit fast so please don't hestitate to let us know you can't understand us. And yes, those magpies can be a pest. I always walk in parks with my dogs so avoid these incidents (they attack when they are protecting their nests).

We are planning on driving in October. I hope it works out. If it doesn't, I will be the bald lady in a striped lime green shirt. DD will be the one with duct tape on her mouth.

I would check a site like Orbitz to get an idea of different airfares, but we usually just book directly through Continental's web site. There are no cheap flights from Cleveland and CA is the only one from CLE to MCO with a nonstop flight.

Libby: Do not miss an evening at Palo (excellent) or brunch at Palo (also excellent). Try to do at least one spa treatment to treat yourself. I usually get a facial, but I really want to try the reflexology. We have not done any of the shore excursions but have found St. Maartin to be a great place to by jewelry, much better than St. Thomas.

Just moving us back up on the board...Good night.

My husband, Larry and I will be on this cruise too! We got engaged at Disneyworld in 11/02, went on the Wonder for our honeymoon in 10/03 and this will be our first anniversary cruise. Although this is only my second post on the boards, I have been lurking here for a couple of years and would enjoy finally meeting some fellow Dis'ers. So, for the roll call its:
Stateroom #6590 - Larry & Tracey Nissen - from Houston, Texas

Tracey

Welcome on 'board' to Tracey & Larry! :wave2:

By the way, Denine......Family Services frowns upon the use of duct tape on any child under the age of 12. Sorry. It's gonna be a long ride!:hyper:

Once again it appears that I am the only one without a life. :(
Poor me. Anyway, I have to kill some time this morning so I'm talking to you guys. DH worked last night so he's already in bed. I have to leave to go to a baby shower this morning that was suppose to be next week around a very nice inground pool but is now going to held in a waiting room at a hospital for high risk pregnancies. Poor thing developed toxemia and is in the hospital for the duration of her pregnancy. She is not due until July 30th but they are hoping to at least make another week before they have to take the baby. This is her first baby and she has nothing so the wonderful nurses at the hospital said that they can hold the baby shower there. Hopefully it'll cheer up the Mom-to-be.
Her name is Mazie....please say a prayer for her and Nicholas (the baby). Hopefully his little lungs will be developed and he wont need help with his breathing.

Well, I guess if I look I could really find something to do before I leave so I guess I'll sign off. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Bye,

:wave2: Denise

Welcome Aboard Larry & Tracey!!!!

I will say a little prayer for baby Nicholas. I am sure every thing is gonna be just fine.

Because of you guys I was able to save about $600 dollars on air fare. So I booked us the Raddison the night before big spender that I am:)

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Peg

Hi ! I read the thread every once in a while but have not posted on the thread before. After NUMEROUS trips to DisneyWorld we went on our first cruise this past November (3 day to see if we would like it) and of course we loved it and are booked on the October 16 cruise as well (me -Deb, the mom...my adult daughter Rachel and my son George age 12 ...he is also autistic and I think Wide Awkae posted that she has a 13 year old autistic son who will be sailing...I am also bringing My father and his wife who never go anywhere and are very excited to be coming---I think they are more excited than we are...I was shocked--I thought I would have to talk them into coming! I guess you never know!
Anyway, it looks like we'll be in good company:wave2: :wave2:

The baby shower was very nice yesterday but my girlfriend Marion, who is Mazie's Mom, just called and said that they are taking the baby now because Mazie's getting worse and had just had a seizure.
Please keep them in your prayers.

Peg...glad you saved so much money, that's great :) !

Deb....welcome to the board. I can understand your Dad and his wife's excitement...I think I'm more excited than my kids and grandkids!

Talk to you later,

Denise

Hello fellow princesses! princess: Did you guys hear about the soda policy changing? (free for all soda starting June 12th cruise) I hope they're still doing it when we sail! Was planning on bringing rum & a case of coke, that will just save more $ for the rum!!! Getting the tiaras out and polished! I saw some of you are going to the MNSSHP on the Thursday before...we're going on the Tuesday before (12th) guess our planning was off there, oh well! Can't wait to meet you guys on the cruise. I don't know our room number yet, we hotwired the cruise and only have a guarranty category at this time (hoping for an upgrade) but I am sure we'll be doing some of the same stuff. Someone save my seat at the rainforest, I bought the week package... Talk to ya' princesses later!!

He's 4lb 11oz, 16 inches long and as of last night was breathing fine on his own! :Pinkbounc

Debbart,
WELCOME !!! That will be great to have another autism parent on board. I think they've finally decided that genetics does have something to do with it...surprise, surprise...didn't they think it was strange that the parents were all pretty much alike ?

To the newbies in 6590...we had that cabin last year...it is one of those adjacent to the white spaces on the ship diagram...means your steamer trunk is flush with the wall, not indented like the other cabins...really cuts down on the space between bed and trunk...if you can switch your room without paying extra you may want to think about it. Other than that it was great, close to the laundry.

Good news about the baby !!! My DS was 11'4'' so can't imagine taking home a tiny one...I was terrified enough with mine !!!

How about sleeping pills, or vodka in her juice?

Hope Nicholas and mom continue to do well.

Welcome aboard Deb!

I am excited about the free pop. We drink a lot of diet coke.

We had a busy weekend. Sunday we went to Brooke's baptism party and had an open house while we were gone.

Vodka is fine...it's odorless and if the sleeping pills are for you I'd say go for it. As moms we learn to multi-task very quickly so I do believe your husband will be just fine as he feeds crackers to the baby with one hand, wipes the drool off your chin with the other, and drives the car with his knees. Just make sure you take enough of the pills. There's nothing worse than be awaken by the sobbing of a grown man. I know it annoys the heck out of me.

Nicholas is still doing fine but they are still having problems getting the Mom's blood pressure under control. She finally got to see him though, so that's good.

We are also diet coke drinkers so I am also happy about the free soda. There's $70.00 we can use for something else! :)

Gotta go...see you all,

Denise :wave2:

So, vodka for Kaleigh and sleeping pills for me. Gotcha.

Is it time to go yet??? :hyper: :boat:
