I haven't had a great day today.
Long story short, my boyfriend/ manfriend lol (sounds funny as we are both adults) had an abdominal ultrasound to check his gall bladder as he had Right upper quadrant pain one day that lasted all morning. He now has to go for a CT scan as they say a 1.8 cm pancreatic nodule. So of course he has himself dead and buried within 1 year. I tried to reassure him that the ct is for a closer look and it doesn't necessarily mean it's anything to worry about, they just need a better look. But of course I am worried too, but I try not to act scared just concerned. The scan isn't until 1-12. UHG
AND
A patient went bullistic on me when I had to call to rechedule her appt as the dr will be out. She actually went off the deep end (as in certifiable). I knew she had to be seen before the end of the year, but she would not let me finish speaking. She SCREAMED, Who is going to pay my ****ing $250.00 deductable (I actually had multiple appts the day befoe and the day after original appt and before the end of the year). I tried to tell her this but she just went off. So I stopped talking because I was just o taken aback by her overreaction. she then said "Oh, got nothin to say now that someone is calling you on it.! Still screaming! We wear headset and the girl 2 seats away from me could hear her and the patient she was booking an appt with at the window could hear her too. When I tried to speak again I spoke in a calm voice as I was not going to match her attitude, She then said stop being so condisending! Honestly I wasn't. I was just so upset after that call and my ears were crimson. She wanted my name and wanted to speak with my supervisor immediately. Well, my supervisor knows me well and knows what I am like with patients.
Someone here once said, "Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience"
I just want to go hide under the blankets
