Just jumped on the thread.. I love ANTM!! I like Elina, Sheena, and secretly, Hannah. I didn't see last week's episode but I Tivo'd it. I can't wait for the makeover episode!!!

I must say, I really dislike Clark. She seems like she's one of those girls who thinks she's better than everyone else and truly deserves to be there. Ugh.

Glad to have some DISers who love ANTM!!

(and the silly graphics in the 1st episode made me cringe, )

Does anyone else think that Marjorie isn't getting nearly as much airtime as the rest of the girls? When they show her shoot, it's only like a clip 2 seconds long. It just seems weird to me.

The makeovers are okay, I don't really like some of them. Tyra looked scary as a "fairy Godmother". Her eyes looked white!

I really like Analeigh and I hope she sticks around for awhile. It's not fair that they have her on a pedestal, figure skating is a different thing that just standing there posing, they should cut her some slack.

I think they just don't show the girls who are safe that week all that much. They seem to focus on the bottom and top two. I think Marjorie got more air time that first week when she was in the top. Of course, I could be just imagining it. LOL

I was surprised Tyra called Elina first. I mean it was a good picture but I don't think it was the best.

I also don't get why some girls had face shots chosen and some full lengths. I don't think that was really fair. Some of the girls with bad poses might've had good face pics and some with good faces might've had bad poses.

I thought the makeovers were a little bland. This is usually one of my favorite episodes but there wasn't just that much drama. Although I do agree with the PP that Tyra looked scary. I think the whole "bit" was weird.

Snow White? Fairy Godmother? Can it GET any cheesier? We were saying that Tyra was probably the first woman Mr. Jay has ever kissed, but it didn't look like he really kissed her.

I think that Clark's makeover is the worst...the hair color is way too dark and makes her features look hard.

I hate how they pick girls and then make them over so drastically. Don't get me wrong I think everyone needs a makeover ever so often, but when you make a girl over so that shes "edgy"??? Why not pick the girls who have the edge already?

That opening part - Tyra's own very special make-over story, the Miss Jay/Bigfoot witch with the apple, the Mr. Jay/Zander from Drawn Together Prince - was so over the top and insane! Seriously, does Tyra do drugs????? And did someone make sure Annaleigh knew it was not really a poison apple that kept Tyra from telling them their make-overs before the fact?

I don't like McKey's make-over. I thought they would get the hair off of her face, since they made her hold back her hair during casting interviews and they commented on how great a face she has when it is not covered by her hair. And when they first did Elina's hair, I thought of Carrot Top, but it looked better fixed up at the shoot. And I agree that Clark's is too dark. Lauren Brie's hair looked the same at panel before and after - she looks so incredibly plain. I kind of love Samantha.

Now, once Hannah, Isis and Analeigh are booted, we'll be down to some decent models. Unless someone cannot walk the runway. Then, a better model may be kicked off before the rest of the mediocre ones.

The makeover episode is my favorite. I hope it's just as good this cycle!

I don't remember Samantha standing out so much before. This week she was my favorite. I like Elina, Marjorie, and Josslyn.

Samantha did a really amazing job this week. I didn't think the make overs were that great. Elina looks kind of ridiculous, IMO, but she seems to be working it! Clark- her hair is a bit dark. I thought Samantha looked great, as did Majorie, Hannah, and Lauren Brie (although she didn't look much different).
I think my favorites are Elina, Lauren Brie, Majorie and Hannah.

I think this is the season ANTM "Jumps the Shark"! There was no need for that crazy futuristic stuff in the first episode and the skit in the makeover episode was completely ridiculous. There is no need for that stuff.

Tyra wants to make this season "fun to watch" I'm finding it all really stupid and annoying.

I finally just watched the premiere. Thanks to my work schedule, I get home just in time to see the elimination, but that hasn't meant much, because I had no clue who the girls were! So here are my thoughts so far...

Oh and I have to agree.....Karma is a *****. You ARE NOT america's next top model. LOL

My son saw part of it and as he headed to bed, he said "I hope that underwear girl gets kicked off!"

If I had to see her put her underwear in her face one more time I was going to scream!

What are your thoughts on the futuristic special effects? Personally, they make me but curious what others were thinking. I'll watch regardless, in fact I think it adds to the charm.

I thought Clark was SOOOO pretty - until I heard her talking about Isis, now her attitude has made her turn ugly.

I felt the same way! I thought she was SO pretty, then she had to go and open her mouth.

I thought McKey's photo was really good this last episode, even though in person I don't think she's that pretty. But her face was really amazing in that photo!

I also like Elina, Lauren Brie and Marjorie. I agree-most of the makeovers were really lame. But I think Marjorie looks really beautiful with her dark hair; the blonde color before just washed her out. I'm not a big fan of Hannah-I just don't find her even remotely pretty. And I hate how they cut her hair. She looked down right ugly before the judges last time.

Oh, and Samantha's pic was great!! Her makeover was really good! She just seems so dumb in real life.

When AnnaLeigh was getting ready for the photo shoot she said she had to do go because she was in the bottom two last week. But the bottom two last week were Brittany and Isis.

Am I wrong/misunderstanding/mishearing? Or it this crafty editing?

I think they call them in order of who did the best. So the later in the line you are called, the worst you did. So you can be in the bottom, but not necessarily the bottom two. I think thats how it goes.

Thanks. I thought I heard her say bottom two. I'm probably wrong, I had a beer while watching. LOL

On another note, I was shocked by the mid-episode elimination. But glad to see them change some things up. But sad that it was based on a runway walk. Those can be worked on and improved. Bad pics or not listening or poor attitude probably won't.
