Do you have one installed on your computer?

I just installed the new Microsoft Security Essentials. It is much better than Norton or McAfee. Much lighter. Much more well-integrated. Easier to use and configure. It gets its updates dynamically, and practically instaneously after they're available.

And it's free!

I have Norton installed on both my desktop and laptop. My Norton subscription for my laptop ends in 8 days. Right I'm thinking of getting a 1 year subscription to AVG Internet Security.

I have the Free Avast, I had the Free AVG before, but it kept crashing and a virus got through once when it crashed and I was having issues with my computer. Downloaded Avast and it got rid of the virus and then I got rid of AVG.

I use Clorox wipes to keep viruses off my computer:rotfl2:

We use Norton. Stay away from McAfee-it might be cheaper but does not work that well.

We've used Norton in the past, but it messed up one of our computers real bad. So it's been McAfee for the past 4 or 5 years, but boy, does it ever slow down the computer! I've learned not to do anything when the virus scan is running, but that takes 2 hours. And if I'm in the middle of something when McAfee decides to update itself, forget it.

I'm curious to see what others use and how they like it.

We've used AVG for years. It works as well or better than the expensive antivirus products.

I had McAfee but got bugs one of which disabled my firewall. I got the free Avast then got rid of McAfee.

Same here on the desktop. The laptops are still running NOD32, but I'll probably them switch over.

We use free Avast, too, after I finally put my foot down on Kasperky's renewal fee. Knock wood, but so far nothing has gotten through, and our pc runs much faster than it did with Kaspersky.
