Anti-chafing techniques!

My husband and two teenage sons swear by Body Glide as well. We have bought it in a couple different Sporting Goods stores here. We've been on multiple trips to Disney and wouldn't go there without it!

Bodyglide is the greatest product ever invented for chafing and blisters!! About 10 years ago I did use to get chafing in my inner thighs on two ocassions, one when it was crazy hot and you knew you would sweat a lot while walking or running a lot and two, when going to the beach or a waterpark, the wet swimsuit definitely caused bad chafing. After I first heard of this product I bought it and put it on like a normal deoderant stick and it's never let me down.It costs like $8 but I would buy it if it cost $20,it's simply worth it.Chafing can ruin a day real quick and knowing this product totally prevents this problem makes this product essential.I buy it at a local runners store but feel this product should be at every walgreens or CVS out there.

I totally could have written this before our first trip to the World Sept of last year. We went with BodyGlide and I had NO issues, (other than sore feet from the walking!) :p We are from California and I had never (and have never) experienced humidity like there is in Florida. The bodyglide was fantastic and i used it every day on my thighs and had no issues. I was very impressed!

I have a question - sometimes when we frequent the water parks for six hours or so all of us end up with different chafing areas - what works best when you are in and out of water so much?
Thanks!

Plain 'ol' antiperspirant. No need to buy anything new. I saw a girls spanks hanging out from under her dress at work the other day, told her to get rid of the shorts and put on some deodorant. Asked her how it worked today and she said perfect.

You can use Body Glide, but I prefer to use a clear deodorant stick or gel instead. I use it when running in place of Body Glide. It works just as well, is cheaper and is available in more places.

Remember cotton is your enemy in the heat. Plan your wardrobe accordingly. If you opt for using tech fabric or compression gear my favorites are the C9 line from Target. Heat Gear from Under Armor works well too but is pricier.

Most important: have fun!

I use the anti-antiperspirant as well. We were there last year the first week of Sept. and it was crazy hot and humid, and I had no problems at all.

can't go wrong with the underarmour compression shorts - i'd go gold bond powder if you don't want to wear them all day.

I'm also voting for body glide. I have somewhat larger thighs and wearing a skirt or sundress all day provides horrible chafing there. But last trip I used the body glide-applying only in the morning, and it worked great. Not one chafe the whole trip!

Body Glide is great even when you get wet as it is used by a lot of people in tri's. It helps them get out of wet suits and on to the bike quicker.

Body Glide and Anti Monkey Butt are the best things made.

I used to get the Body Glide at our local Dick's Sporting Goods, but last year they replaced the Body Glide with the Mission Brand anti chafing, which doesn't work near as well and takes twice as much. I now order the Body Glide online. Anti Monkey Butt you can get at Tractor Supply stores.

I am also by no means "Pooh sized", but when we went a few weeks ago, I chafed so bad in my inner thighs that I started bleeding. I had to be taken out of Epcot in a wheelchair. I couldn't even walk. So that night, I went to Target and bought some longer athletic shorts and some Body Glide. They worked wonders.

Would you use the Body Glide or the Monistat Anti-Chafing under or over sunscreen (or doesn't it matter) and does it "dry" into a white powder or any type of consistency that actually shows? Just curious...

I want to thank you all in advance, as this has been a big problem for me since my teenage years. I usually wear another layer under dresses, but when it's hot & humid, well, yuck.

ANTI Monkey Butt here as well my family thought I was crazy but hey whatever works. And it cracks me up every time I look at t he package,

I don't think it matters, but I always use sunscreen first, then the Body Glide. It goes on clear, stays that way, and I never even know it's on there. I prefer the Body Glide, but have tried the Monisat Anti chafing. It feels a little slick going on, but then dries to a powdery feel (it's still clear though), so neither would show. To me the Body Glide just works better and lasts longer. Body Glide works all day, I always felt like I needed to reapply the Monistat, because I'd start to get a little pink and start to feel irritated each afternoon.

One brand I do not recommend is the Mission brand antichafing. It comes in a tube, feels greasy going on, takes more, and doesn't last as long. A stick of Body Glide will last me several trips. One tube of the Mission stuff didn't last a week.

Thinking of getting this, but can anyone tell me if Body Glide is hypo-allergenic? I have a lot of allergies and can't use things like cortisone creams (but things like deoderant are just fine). Is it a natural product or what's in it? TIA!~<3

Body glide, Body Glide, Body Glide.

My husband and I are both pooh sized and we had no problems on a 14 day trip.

Have fun!
