Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Hey knowledgeable Expo TV reviewers! I have been looking for some basic information on how Expo TV works and have been having a hard time finding anything.
I have been reading a lot about choosing items that are in the database, what exactly does that mean and where can I find a list of these products.

I submitted three reviews yesterday and I was wondering how long the approval/rejection process usually takes. I really don't expect mine to be accepted but I am looking forward to their feedback so I will know how to make them better.

Is anyone willing to send me a message with their expo username so that i can check out some videos that have been accepted?
You can look at mine though they aren't as good as others. My user name on Expo is craftmom1616. Good luck with it.:goodvibes

Thanks to everyone who let me know their usernames! I got a lot of good ideas from the videos. I think it will take practice before I am able to be as good as you guys!!

I just need to get used to speaking to my camera like it is my best friend.

Anybody can look at ours too. Not professional quality but who cares. Name is the same as here. :happytv:

OMG IM ON THE FRONT PAGE!!! AHAHAHA!

Wow they picked a older video, I just woke up...my hairs a mess hehe....:cool1:

Maliki, congrats! I added you to my friends list. Makin's ya some pennies. Ha! Still no word on my videos yet, I thought for sure I'd wake up this morning to feedback, but I guess I'll wait another day. If these get accepted I'll definately make the rest in the next few days as with it taking this long, any re-dos would barely make it by the end of April.

It is taking extra long for videos to get approved...I know someone that has been waiting 5 days...me I have one in a few days. Going to finish off the rest of mine this weekend, with this amount of time, I might have some time to finish them if rejected before the end of the month.

Finally! Feedback. Ok, help me out. Basically my videos go approved, but not for payment. Has this happened to anyone? Here is what they said in the payment box: "Unfortunately, this doesn't qualify for upfront payment. You can either publish this review as is or you may redo this video once for upfront payment consideration."

Then here is the individual posts:
Texas Toast: "Wonderful job with the demo and discussion of why you prefer this toast! A few technical issues prevent a high rating. A higher frame rate on your camera may help with the pixelation your video shows.. Try increasing your lighting in front of your face."

Garnier: "Good opinion and demo. Your video quality is somewhat out of focus with some pixelation. Sometimes choosing a higher frame rate can help with this. Try adding some more light in front of your face as well. "

Huggies Wipes: "You offer great opinion and experience with the wipes. Your lighting would be much improved by adding some lighting in front of your face. Your video quality is somewhat out of focus with some pixelation. Sometimes selecting a higher frame rate can help with this."

OK, so I used a lower setting on my camera so it would be within the size restrictions. I've done all my past videos this way, but obviously now I'm going to have to go with a higher setting. Then how can I get the size right? Also, I was worried about the lighting. I'm just gonna have to do them all outside. Then the lighting would be perfect! Basically they are saying, I personally am the coolest, I just know squat diddly about computers. Man, they so have me pegged. OK, I will make more videos tonight so I'll post back around next Monday & tell you what they said.

Hope my feedback can help others. I'm just so grateful to have some. I was leaning towards them not accepted & the reasons they stated were EXACTLY what I thought was wrong.

My husband has now been waiting 4 days to see if 8 of his are approved. It's driving him crazy!!!!

I also have one that has been pending for quite a long time :confused3 . I did get a reply to an email that I sent them on the 4th though, but it wasn't very helpful.

I know alot of us have videos pending for quite a few days. I was just wondering if anyone has had any move out of pending recently. I wish they would get to mine soon.:confused3

Nope, I've had a review for the Martian Child pending 4 days now. But I'm pretty sure it will be rejected, I'm having technical difficulties using a backup camera!

Yeah its taking a ton of time to get stuff looked at. Not sure what the delay is, shouldn't be this long, and it stinks when one is rejected. I hope to get the rest uploaded today, so I might have time to redo them if rejected before the end of the month.

 Whoo hoo! I made the front page! Its my DVD player.
Too bad I made that one before all the cleavage fiasco on You Tube, or I would have worn a different shirt!

I have several items that I have been waiting for them to increase to review. I have tons of craft stuff (Cricut, Cuttlebug, Sizzix, ect) but did not want to review them for $2. However, my camera records in MPEG4 format and I can't get a file under 50mg unless it's 2 minutes or less. There is no way I can review those items with everything they're going to want in under 2 mins. MPEG4 is not compatible with Movie Maker, so I can't import them in there and compress. I tried the Cricut the other day and even rushing, couldn't get it less than 4 mins. I wish the files could be larger than 50 mg.:headache:

My husband had all 5 of his rejected. I actually thought they were pretty good but they found something wrong with all of them.

Why not use your camcorder and stream directly through Moviemaker? Then it will save it in the format needed in Moviemaker.

No need to import usually.

I had 2 pending since the 14th. One was approved yesterday but the other is still pending. I wonder if this new method is more time consuming than Expo expected. Hopefully, the reviews will start going quicker soon.
