Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

That is agood way to look at it! It was a book though not very exciting so I wonder if I can get 10 for it.

I wouldnt be happy if I uploaded a video last month and didn't get paid. But I guess thats just me. You should have been paid last month, then get to an additional video this month of something. So basically your out a video you should have been paid for.

I really want to try and make some of these videos, but very nervous and overwhelmed by it all. Like for example, what products do they accept the reviews on, etc. I tried to find some detailed instructions, but really couldn't. Are there any good links out there?? Thanks in advance.;)

Its very vague now....VERY. My problem....we would get rejected if the day person didn't like it, and then the night person would accept a video. Now if we don't mesh with "quality" as they want, they can reject it for anything. It's pretty messed up with you think about it. All someone has to do is say NOPE, I don't like your reviews and your screwed. I'm holding out and hoping they can come up with a clearer way to get this straightened out. They need to have more than one person check out the videos. I know it would suck, but what one person says is good, may not be what another thinks about it. Lets hope for the best :)

Surely the reviewers have some kind of set standard they are supposed to go by. When I watched the how to videos they listed some things they were looking for. Background free of clutter, quiet in the background, personal experience with the product. I'm sure they're looking for specific things in a review.

I'm sure they do, but its weird when you see someone at the nighttime accept videos that the daytime won't and for strange reasons. Its tough for someone to live by guidelines for a review. Like I said, someone might like it and someone might not.

Very true. Guess we'll all just have to wait and see what happens. Still waiting to hear on 3 that I submitted this morning.

Waiting on my one and my wifes one. But they may be catching up from last month. :goodvibes

Can someone explain their new payout system? It's been a few months since I did expo.

:thumbsup2

I've had the opposite problem. The night person seems to always reject my stuff and I do well with the day people. But you are right. For the January bonus, one of the videos I watched was selected for a bonus on a DVD review and I did a review on the same DVD and felt theirs was not any better than mine.

I have a feeling we don't have to much to worry about. This change is positive on many levels. People won't be chasing the money anymore. I have a feeling we will all start reviewing things that matter to us and impact the world we live in as opposed to "borrowing" a friends camera for a few minutes to do a review ;)

They made things sound pretty simple....keep your lighting good, tell a story about the product and how it affects you. What do you like and dislike about it? and lots of details about the product i.e. model numbers etc. Last but not least, talk to the camera like it's your friend :)

Think about it this way.... Now you have a house full of 10 dollar items at your disposal. You can relax and need only worry about getting 20 reviews done for $200.00 instead of 75 at 2 dollars for $150.00.

For the record I also have loaded a few "test the water videos" which are still pending. I'm sure they are still catching up from March.

I kind of feel the same way, I'll just feel better when I can get at least one approved. 3 still pending from yesterday morning.

I am anxious for you guys- I hope your videos get approved.

Best of luck to everyone. I know you all make quality videos.:thumbsup2

March backlog/April reviewing

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that we are currently working to review a backlog of March videos, which is why you may see your videos pending for longer than usual. We will begin reviewing April videos once ALL March videos have been reviewed. Thanks for your patience."

Thanks for passing this info on to all of us. I figured they were still reviewing March videos, but I agree......waiting is the hard part.:goodvibes

I submitted one as well. I know it will be awhile until they get to April's videos but I will be anxious until then. :) Just wondering what they are really looking for. I just want to make $90-100 a month so I hope I can keep at it. If all these changes aren't as bad as we are all thinking making $200 would be way more then I was hoping for from expo.

I had 3 videos I submitted on March 31 and they all 3 got rejected......

First one was on a video game and it was rejected b/c product was not an exact match in the database. I KNOW I selected the correct item because I always do a search on Amazon first and I look closely at the pic and product info on Expo before I select.

Second one was on a wireless controller for the Gamecube. Rejected because I must show product demo. what? I have not seen in their rules that you have to demo game accessories. I have watched other videos where no demo was given on the controllers AND I did a review on a controller before and did not do a demo.

Third one was rejected because the video cuts off before the end. I always leave at least 2 seconds at the end because this kept happening to me when I first started submitting videos. My video was cut by 23 seconds! It happened somewhere on their end because it is fine on mine and 23 seconds is just ridiculous.

Rant over............

for now.

The cutting off happens on their end. Same thing has happened to me more then once and it is irritating.

They changed the rules when they had changed the payouts one time and said all $5 and $10 items had to be demonstrated, of course assuming it could. Had to show the dvd playing, game playing, using controllers, etc.
