With a library of over 300,000 reviews the ExpoTV community is creating a shopping destination like no other. Consumers everywhere are turning to ExpoTV for product information - in video - and they're looking to YOU for the straight scoop.

Savvy consumers who have been using your videopinions when doing product research are always looking for better information -- so now the community needs to step up and answer their call. You may have noticed that we have been evolving Expo's unique community of video creators to concentrate on uploading fewer videos of higher quality and share more personal stories with our audience.

In April, the evolution continues with the introduction of a new reward program that focuses specifically on celebrating and compensating high quality video creators in a more significant way. We'll also be reaching out to some of our "super creators" to help us set quality standards, guide new creators, and help steer our visitors to the highest quality product reviews. Help keep building not only the largest, but the BEST source for amazing, honest, authentic and informative reviews anywhere!

We're super excited about these changes and we hope you are too! Stay tuned for more details.

The vague announcement worries me a bit too. I guess I better get working on my reviews for this month. I've only done 4 so far.

Do any of you remember when I posted about a video of mine that got rejected because I needed to edit the video? I was yelling at my daughter to quit shaking the table. EXPOTV put that video on YouTube. I was so embarrassed.

I found it yesterday because someone on Expo forums was complaining that one of her videos was put on Youtube and the tags were in appropriate - baiting people to look at her cleavage. By the way - Expo responded on the thread that they took the tags off, but when I did my search last night, there were a couple more out there of other girls. They had comments that would have made me mad. Several comments on one of the girls said, "She is so stupid, but look at that rack."

Anyway - I emailed Expo and they took mine off Youtube. I didn't think they would put rejected videos out, but I guess they do if they think they are embarrassing or entertaining enough.

So I've learned 2 lessons: Always watch my videos all the way through before sending them in. Always wear shirts that completely cover the goods.

I had noticed when I looked through the YouTube videos some were marked ExpoTV rejects. One looked like the woman was doing the review naked. :confused3 I'm glad they took yours off. Did you have any comments on it? I found my tree trimming video up there. I'm going to think a bit more about doing the personalized videos now that I know they're up on YouTube.

I had several comments, but none that I thought were really rude or bashing me. Several said things like "Why did mom start yelling in the middle of the review?" and some said things like, "kids don't listen and moms have to yell."

I had 1400 views on the Youtube video. Too bad I don't get pennies for that. I'm glad they took it off because I was starting to worry that I would get an email one day saying, "Look at this crazy lady yelling at her kid" with the video attached.

I am probably going to keep doing reviews, but not anything too personal. I didn't like that Expo responded on the forum to the girl complaining that they tagged her video in a way to market it and get more viewing. Tagging it with "chest (but the b word that the disboard blocks)" is totally inappropriate.

I was going to do a review on my Sassari crocs, but now I'm afraid to do it. I'm afraid it'll be put up on YouTube for all the foot fetish people. :lmao:

Thanks Mean! I looked through those and I have 2 videos out there. I guess I'll let them keep those since I'm not doing anything embarassing.

I also recognized ScottNY in one of them.

I found a few from DH and I, all from Disney I think. Too bad we don't get paid for those views as we would have well over $100.00 just on the few we had out there.

I've uploaded 3 DVD reviews and they were all approved within an hour

I uploaded two videos today. One was approved almost immediately and the other one has been "pending" since this morning. :confused3

I've had a DVD pending since 3/20, no idea why. They approved a candy one I did yesterday within a short time period.

Allyson :)

I have one I submitted Friday still pending, then of 6 I submitted yesterday, only 2 are published, and of three today, one is published. The rest are pending.

The way they worded the "announcement" really has me concerned as a newbie, especially about "focuses specifically on celebrating and compensating high quality video creators in a more significant way. We'll also be reaching out to some of our "super creators" to help us set quality standards, guide new creators, and help steer our visitors to the highest quality product reviews"

I hope all us newbies aren't out!

Has anyone gotten anything approved today?

I had 2 out of 6 approved yesterday and one still holding from a few weeks ago. Just let me know what's wrong with it and I'll fix it!

INteresting. I have 3 that have been pending for a couple of days. maybe they're just busy?

That's terrible! I'm so glad they removed it. I have become so disillusioned with expo and their You~Tube antics. I think we originally thought we were participating in a class act, but I don't believe that any more. DD and I have stopped doing expo, but I am still filming reviews for another family member, so I keep up with what's going on over there.

I saw that on the expo forum. I don't blame that girl for being upset. I find the tags appauling. Like I said, I am very disappointed in the path that expo seems to be taking. Sorry to say I regret participating in it at all.

ps. I don't mean to sound like such a downer, especially for newbies reading this. We've originally signed up last July, so been around a long time.
