Ok I sure hope Expo is reading these boards because I would like to know who is the moron in there today rejecting videos. Did they change a rule that you cannot review Netflix rentals now? I just submitted 2 dvd. one was a special edition napoleon dynamite that has the vote for pedro cover and they rejected for cannot verify i own the product, showed the case, the second disk, the booklet that comes with it, and a good clip...second was a netflix rental, put the envelope all the way up to the camera so you could read it, showed the disk, and then good clip. rejected for cannot verify you own product. What gives, is there someone in there today who is just on a mission to reject all?

That is very interesting because I thought I had read on the forums that you could do rentals, as long as you showed the disc, which you did. Hmmmm. My friend, pumpkinpie on Expo, has had a ton of rejections in the last week for "link not valid" and they are things right from their database!

There is no consistancy and I think that is the problem. I just had Surfs Up approved yesterday and it is a rental, no case. I just popped out the DVD and showed it. Odd.

I just had one approved today where I just showed the disc. My DD puts her DVD's in a holder and loses the cases almost immediately. So not having the case does not mean you don't own it. There does need to be consistency. I'm feeling very lucky right now to not have too many rejections.

I guess I was wrong. I wonder if they changed it at some point (or I always misunderstood it). They really changed things around in August when emails went out saying the item had to be open and you had to own it.

I agree though, DS sometimes misplaces the case too, I have a few sitting here where I was looking for the case for it before reviewing.

I think expo has just decided to reject 90% of the movies done this month! And I don't get it, but DVD's are one of the easiest to get approved when I have never gone to watch one. I look for other things I am buying all the time and can barely find any info on them.

Same thing happened to me and I resubmitted the next day. It finally got approved.

First - great expo news - somehow I got a bonus from December! Woo hoo!!

Now my rant...who the heck is their nighttime reviewer?!! I uploaded 3 today while home for lunch - not a problem to be found. Uploaded 3 tonight and amazingly have NOT recv'd the "audio video not in sync" but have received "link not valid" and "only accept current products." Not sure how much more current I can get and like everyone else am using their OWN database! Sadly I think expo is starting to go the way of eBay...but I'm still going to be trying.
