Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

My husband just got the rest of his July videos approved.  They approved all 100.  That means for July we got 200 approvals.  I love expo TV

WOW! Good for you!!

I have uploaded 23 so far for August, im pretty excited about that! Come and check out my vids...they are all scrapbooking stuff though :)
My name is Jocie...

I just wish for the first-timers that they'd at least approve ONE of our vids within a few days of posting it- just so new people could know we're doing it right.

I totally agree!! I uploaded 18 of them and they all say "received" and "not available". It's so frustrating... I'd be more motivated if I knew they all went in alright and were approved! I guess it's just a waiting game! I uploaded a little over two days ago :surfweb:

I'm also a first-timer. I've only started making videos on 7/22. I uploaded almost 100 videos before any were approved. I think if you follow their basic guidelines you'll be fine. It worked for me. 100% approval so far.:thumbsup2 You just have to be patient. They are still reviewing July's submissions. It is very hard to wait though. :goodvibes

Oh, I know. We uploaded one a few days ago and I had been waiting to make sure it was approved, but then I began to worry that I would run out of time. We have been uploading tonight and i want to get them in early in case any are rejected I have a chance to redo them or other products to hit the 100 mark.

I so wish I had found this site earlier. We have tons of books and movies, probably 300-400 and I would have loved to have done them on the $5.00 month. I'm holding out on those unless I need some fillers to get to 100. Maybe they'll go up next month

I'm sure this will sound as clear as mud but here it is...

I have 2 paypal accounts, one personal and one premier that I use for ebay. Since I'm hoping that DH and I both hit $500.00+ this month, we'll need to use the premier account for receiving ExpoTV. Since I found out that you can have multiple emails under one paypal account, I added my DHs email under my premier account (I had read that someone had both their and their DHs emails under the same paypal account). Anyway, I wanted to test it out to make sure it could receive okay. I did a transfer from my personal paypal to my DHs email under my premier account. When I looked under the transaction details on my personal account, it stated the money was sent to me with my name listed. Will this create a problem since it will show me as the recipient of both mine and my DHs ExpoTV income?

TIA

Hey- how long do the videos take to upload to the site for YOU to preview? The first 8 I uploaded, I could preview right away. All of yesterday's videos- I still can't preview.

I have uploaded about 18 so far and they've been on there close to a week and have yet to be able to have a preview and of course aren't approved yet either, I just finished making another 18 last night but still need to upload, it is taking longer than I originally though but will be well worth it if they start approving them, hopefully they will soon.

Is there a place on the Expo TV website to view the general guidelines for videos...Ie: length, who can be in the video, and other things that they use to decide if a video is accepted?

I'm still waiting to hear from other expo people, if they were paid by Expo over $500 into their personal account in one months payment, was the money on hold?, and did you have to upgrade?

according to Pp help solutions- only Goods and Ebay items will count toward the limit on the account- so, if I get paid $ in excess of $500 next month, as long as it's Expo- will I be alright?

Are there limits on how many deposits/withdraws per year are allowed on personal accounts? I thought that I saw 5 but does that apply for all payments or only for Goods and Ebay items???:confused3

I'm having to think too much- I can't see a reason to upgrade and give PP money if I don't need to do so.

Someone please help me understand- :teacher:

The preview function stopped sometime on Sunday. They are upgrading their servers and temporarily disabled this feature. It should be working again sometime this weekend.

Paypal does not charge a fee to accept money from Expo TV. Other members with Premier accounts have received money with no fees.

Also, here is a quote from the FAQ’s from Expo TV:

Is there a cost for receiving money via PayPal?
Nope. Using PayPal will not cost you anything!

Thanks! So I should move up to a Premier - doesn't the premier charge for withdraws?- I'd transfer the money into my checking account-

OK- I get that part about no cost to receive money......but I understand that there is a $500 limit per month that can be deposited/withdrawn in a personal account- September's Expo payment should be well over that- but not a goods or Ebay transaction so does that mean that Expo $ has no limit for deposit each month to PP on a personal account or is it $500- I'm so mixed up on this issue. :confused3

To add the confusion....I was under the impression that you could have more then $500 in your paypal account but can't withdrawl more then that per month in a regular paypal account?

As for premier accounts, I've never been charged for withdrawls from my premier acct. I've made transfers to my personal checking and I've paid for purchases through different web sites and never got charged extra.

They've finally gotten to August videos. 2 of mine that were uploaded Aug 1 were approved. :thumbsup2

Yes I now have 5 August approved (out of 55 done already, I feel so on the ball this month!) but still 3 July sitting and waiting! I wish they'd do something with those!

Allyson :)

The way I understand PayPal is that you can have more than $500 in your PP account, but the limit to withdraw is $500 a month.

There is also a link on the withdrawal page to "lift your limit". I have tried to lift mine but it says it cannot verify my SS number. I emailed PP yesterday about it and have not heard back yet. So even though I know you can lift the limit, I don't know to what extent and/or if others will have problems like me with not being able to complete the steps they have laid out to do it.

I have a Premier account, I don't even know how I got to that status, and I don't know what the difference is from a regular account.

If you go to your own profile page and scroll all the way to the bottom, there should be a link to refer friends on the bottom left (under your friends, subscribers, and subscriptions). I just checked and it is still there and active on my profile. Hope this helps!
