Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I've did some crayons, too. By RoseArt and Crayola. I was extra careful when I chose the picture to click because I noticed some would say "office supplies" and the next picture down might say "Arts/Crafts". Obviously, we're all wanting certain catagories this month. :rotfl2: If you see more then one picture of your item to choose from, then click on them all until you get one that goes in the catagory that gets you $10. I'm hoping they don't change up the catagories on me later. :confused3

I emailed them about what category automotive tools would be in and they told me home and garden under tools...well these are not garden tools they are some really expensive tools for an auto mechanic...i think they should go under cars...they told me they sort out into the right categories if the person places them in the wrong one once the video is reviewed, however, I dont believe it because there are alot of videos on the site in wrong categories. Im just ticked that a tool costing a few hundred dollars would be worth 2 dollars while motor oil will get the 10 dollar category...doesnt make sense to me...i think they really should be more specific.

Yeah, it does seem odd and a little weird. I would think that crayons would fall under arts/crafts. There was only one picture, probably because I was so specific, but I'll remember that for next time.

Right...be more general and see if more pics turn up. I'm really hoping they don't change the catagories on me. It's not like I'm trying to put it into a catagory that it doesn't fit, ya know? I don't use crayons in my office space, but they are in our craft box.

:thumbsup2 thats exactly what i want to do...

Me too, no more waiting till that last week for me! I have 32 uploaded right now and pending for August. Of those 14 are $2 according to my calculations and the rest $10. Going to go for the rest being $10. We have loads of toys/games here with 3 kids!

Is anybody else having trouble uploading today? I have been trying since this morning and I keep getting "can't find video server" message or something like that on their website. :guilty: MAKING the videos are easy - I just can't post them on their website! :confused3

Not today, I am #6 and they are working fine. I started uploading after lunch and have been doing them sporadically. I hope it improves for you. The site seems like it is very finicky.

Quick question for anyone that has written to Expo about a rejected review- have they changed it to accepted? Just curious.

I got my first rejected video for a book review- the reason what that the review gave away the plot. I never said anything more than what is printed on the book jacket, though, so I don't understand this necessarily. I don't know if it is worth it to send them an email- it sounds like they can't keep up with regular reviews, let alone checking into problems, so I doubt they would do anything.

Yeah, they rejected a crayola product that I did last week, and I wrote to them, and they apologized and fixed it. It all depends, but it's worth a shot.

So all toys are 10 dollar reviews? Some of my kids' toys I can't find the exact product on the site. Does that mean it probably won't be accepted?

Not finding the image on expotv doesn't mean it won't be approved but they won't approve. Just make sure the product is still sold in stores and you should be fine. I had two reviews rejected last month because they don't sell the particular scent of candles I was reviewing.

i'm using a webcam to take my video's. any ide ahow i can upload it? it keeps saying it will not accpet the format i am using.

I use my webcam also. After you record the video with your webcam, open up Windows Movie Maker (it's a program automatically loaded in your program's list when your windows operating system is put on your computer). Upload the video from the webcam to Movie Maker and save it to your computer. This saved copy will be what you upload to the expotv site.
Hope this helps

I read a few pages back that there was a 500.00 cap on what you could make in a month now. Do you know if this is true? I was hoping for 100 videos at 10.00 for a great down payment on our next Disney trip. One thousand dollars would be great.:cheer2:

This is from ExpoTv's Terms & Conditions. Says 100 videos per member

August Promotion: August 1, 2007 (12:00am EST) - August 30, 2007 (11:59pm EST) (the "Promotion Period"). ExpoTV will pay any participating members ($2.00 or $10.00) per qualifying video, dependant on the product category (as set forth in the payment chart: http://www.expotv.com/make/variable_payment, submitted during the Promotion Period, up to 100 qualifying videos per member.

I have my first three video's uploaded to ExpoTv. They are showing pending, but when I try to view them in the preview window, it is only showing a blank page. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm trying to upload videos, but I get "Unable to find video server information" - maybe that's why you can't see you videos now. :confused3

I have a ??? about taxes. Do they deduct taxes before they pay you? I was just thinking that this could have serious implications on our tax return if I was able to max this out each month and not have taxes taken out.

I'm planning on saving part of my check every month for taxes. Anyone know an approximate percent (maximum) I should save? I'd rather be safe than sorry.

i did. they said it was not nationaly sold. and it in fact was. i pointed this out to them, and they accepted it and sent me an email saying they were sorry for the oversite within 24 hours.

what i am planning is to save $250 per $1000 i make. this is what they take out of my paycheck at work.

I just realized I have been uploading my toys in the category of Baby and Kids instead of Toys. :( Do you think that will make a difference? They are both ten dollar categories, but I didn't see the toy category.
