Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Am I correct in understanding it is usually the 2nd or 3rd week of the month they pay out? I still have July videos pending, should they be getting to those soon to approve?

I am so excited/nervous about this. I have full confidence that I'll get paid, I mean I have read that others have and people have been on the site for a long time. If they weren't getting paid why would they stay? My DH is so skeptical. He'll believe it when he sees it. I can't wait to show him that PayPal email! LOL!

Thank you to the OP for bringing this site to our attention. :flower3: If it pans out as it should gosh it is going to make paying for my March trip SOOO much easier!

Im curious about this too as I still have half of my july videos pending as well as DH. Im thankful for whatever amount I get but would really like to get paid for them all to help out with back to school stuff.

I read a few pages back that there was a 500.00 cap on what you could make in a month now. Do you know if this is true? I was hoping for 100 videos at 10.00 for a great down payment on our next Disney trip. One thousand dollars would be great.:cheer2:

Alright-
all my fussing the last week or so- I don't know what gives but all of a sudden I am able to upload-

I uploaded all the toy videos that I had ready to go last night- I've tried all kinds of different times and no one was better so much with the site problems but I'm good now! :thumbsup2 I was up as early as 5 am and one night- I stayed up all night filming and downloading, editing and so on - no videos would upload at all that night?

So far, I've got 19 uploaded for Aug. ( 18 were toys ! ) have collected and have done the research for the correct names, cost, recommended ages for 47 more toys-( read that as ready to film ;) for a grand total of 65 toys :woohoo: and 1 "other" :rolleyes1 - it's Sesame Street Bath Paints- so I'm fair sure that it will be counted as a bath item - and can still upload 34 more videos before I hit my 100 mark-

while I have most of the "34" ready to upload, they are $2 videos and I'm saving them for fill in the maximum quota months when I run short- I've still got a few toys left- I used to run a home daycare so my kids always had lots of toys- I was able to write them off for the business :rolleyes1 -
If most of them are approved, that will pay off part of the optomatrist bill and the Emory Clinic's bill! :teacher:

all this extra money i was getting from expo was going towards our upcoming dis trip.
now we have a HUGE unexpected problem with my car. couple hundred dollars to fix it. now any expo money i have will go to that....
i dono how i'm ever gonna save money for that trip. :sad2:

well... i woke up to an interesting rejected video reason this morning. as usual, I checked if any of my July pending videos have been accepted, and I noticed yet ANOTHER rejection (my 6th now) for the So Sexy Nourishing Conditioner for Dry, Damaged Hair review I did. Apparently another member of my household reviewed it. Now, I'm fairly confident that my boyfriend had no ambition of using the conditioner with hopes of getting an idea of the product and then reviewed it behind my back. So I'm a little peeved that they gave such a stupid reason. I have reviewed the SHAMPOO of the same line, but have done other shampoo/conditioners with no problem. Which isnt the reason of rejection anyway if that WERE the case. Needless to say, I sent them a (polite) email saying that I wasn't quite sure why they rejected it, especially under that untrue reason. I even said I understood they are bogged down with lot of videos to go through. This was their mistake though, so I hope the take care of it. It seems like they may be rushing to get everything done and perhaps are being more careless with reviewing the videos. Just my opinion. I understand why my other videos wernt accepted, I had to show pictures in my destination, and Im actually glad they were rejected because now I did them over correctly with the $10 rate instead. But this one seems weird :headache:

that is a strange rejection but hopefully they will figure it out and pay you for it..everyday i cringe when i pull up my page thinking there will be a ton of rejections...i just wish they could review these in enough time to let us upload more in the place of rejections...

Ok what do you guys think. We went to Great Wolfe Lodge last year and I was going to do a review on that. We also visited Jamestown Settlement and President's Park and I have pics of both of those places, do you think I could review each one seperately or would they all fall under Williamsburg? President's Park was a very small little place. :confused3 Also, since Im the one always taking the pics I dont think I have any of me but I definitely have my kids and DH in them. Do you think if my kids sat in the review and I showed the pics and of them and explained that they would be accepted? I dont know im getting nervous now with so many people getting rejections. :sad2:

I had the same thing with visiting Charleston. I broke them down into different places though. Like I did Charleston as a city itself, where I'll talk about how its historic, places to eat, the buildings and architecture, etc. but then I also am doing the aquarium there seperatly, Fort Sumpter seperatly, and a plantation we visited. I think that having your kids sit in those reviews is a good idea and they will definitly accept them then. But I know how you feel about getting nervous.. I'm always second guessing myself if they will accept a review or not now.

I think that should work, and if not, if you submit it soon, you can always do it over. :)

Ok I think I will do that then because heck thats 30 bucks right there...they also went to a little go kart place amusement place there (i stayed at hotel) but i dont know if its something we could review...

I uploaded 5 little videos for July and I have been waiting for them to be approved/rejected before throwing myself wholeheartedly into this. They are still pending now and I am getting antsy. Should I just go ahead and create more in the same style hoping that I am doing it right? I hate to wait until last minute and be consumed the last week or two of the month. :confused3

I would. I did the same thing in July...uploaded a few then waited til the 3rd week to make the rest once those got approved...I was making videos the whole week. We are going to start filming tomorrow for our AUgust videos and hope to be finished in about 2 weeks.

Well, I just uploaded five products and we'll see where this takes me. Two of them were grooming tools for pets, 1 was a toy review and 2 were grooming products- do you think pet grooming products will fall under the PET category? I should hope so, but I try not to ASSUME anything!

I've found a program that lets me clip my vids so you no longer have to watch me turn the camera off- I've also learned how to change my frame rate from super high to a usable frame rate of 15 frames (per second?). All in all- I've spent most of this morning doing videos- but hey, what else do I have to do besides obsess over my upcoming WDW trip- and we all need a little Dis obsession break here and there!

I've done 25 Videos for August. I did them in one day, and starting this next week, I am going to do 3 more days at 25 videos, so I can be done super early, and if any get rejected, then I will have plenty of time to re-do them. Makes sense right? :confused3

:thumbsup2 thats exactly what i want to do...

this is my plan too. I had 2 rejected because the candle scent is no longer available. I didn't know that and since it wasn't rejected until August, I'm screwed on that. I'm doing them all early. I just finished uploading my 23rd one for August. Day is still young and it's quiet over here, so I'm off to find more toys! :rotfl:

Anyone have an idea on this? I am doing crayola crayons and they are under electronics. The exact item comes up. To me this isn't even questionable and I prefer to leave things in catagories where they have put them but don't want it denied for this reason.

I have had a few others come up different but more so understandable, step2kids toy mailbox under home and garden with their other mailboxes and then little tikes outside toys come up under sports and outdoors, so those aren't nearly as big of a stretch. I too am concerned with the big denied idea!

I've did some crayons, too. By RoseArt and Crayola. I was extra careful when I chose the picture to click because I noticed some would say "office supplies" and the next picture down might say "Arts/Crafts". Obviously, we're all wanting certain catagories this month. :rotfl2: If you see more then one picture of your item to choose from, then click on them all until you get one that goes in the catagory that gets you $10. I'm hoping they don't change up the catagories on me later. :confused3

I did that in July. I had never done anything like this before and wasn't sure that the video would be okay or anything so I did wait. I must say doing it last minute though is super not fun!

I got one approved yesterday that I uploaded in the middle of about 50, but nothing on any others before or after that one. I am mine now for august though and have about 10 or so done. i did a few that the kick to weird catagories (see previous post) so wanting to hold off on those. Is there a cap amount of money that can be made for August? I read someone thinking $500, just don't want to make 100 $10 videos if that is true. I can't find that anywhere.
