Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I've been doing my usual "watch Dis-ers videos at lunch" thing and today I noticed that the reviews were not working.

Does it matter? I'm watching as many as I can today as it is very slow here at work.

A quick question for all you ExpoTV experts. ;)
It is my understanding from this thread that it can take 1-2 weeks for your video to be approved. I uploaded my first video with what appears to be no problems on Sat. It is currently pending. My question is this, if there was a 'technical' problem with my video (ie the wrong size etc) that would, for lack of a better word, disqualify it, would the problem be identified when I was uploading/immediate after loading? My concern is that I 'think' I did it right but I would hate to find out after waiting 2 weeks for approval that I did something 'technically' wrong. Especially since I would like to being loading more tomorrow.Am I correct to assume that if it is pending that I "did it right" ? Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA.:)

well, if it were too big, it would tell you that when you tried to upload it, but a lot of other problems might not be identified immediately. For example, if the quality on the video is bad, audio doesn't sync well with the video, lighting is low, audio is low, etc, those type of technical problems, you wouldn't know for weeks.

Yea, if it was too big they'd tell you right away- you couldn't upload it.

I have a question about quality- will they decline a video because your head is cut off? I have one that I like (my first one) in which the top of my head is cut off because I wasn't used to things yet.

I just figured out how to fix the file size (mine were all over 200MB) so I'm finally able to start uploading!! I didn't want to bother uploading it if it was going to be declined. I'd rather just make a new one of the same product.

Anyone?

Im just having trouble getting expo to load for me today...:confused3

Im just having trouble getting expo to load for me today...:confused3

I'm having a really hard time. I'm wondering if I should just make some videos instead and load these at like 1am or something. It seems to be crawling and keeps giving me errors. Is it just because it's busy? I'm hoping that it'd be better late at night. :confused3

It just keeps throwing me to a search page....

I'm having the same problems... the page isnt even loading, let along letting me get to the upload section.

First I want to say thank you to all who have taken the time to answer questions. It is greatly appreciated.

We managed to get one 'test' video uploaded over the weekend. Everything seemed to have gone ok. Now tonight when we try, the audio doesn't sync with the video (very delayed) and the video keeps freezing up when we try and play it back.We cleaned up the hardrive and removed things we didn't need in case it was a memory issue, but still no luck, :sad2: We are using a webcam. Does this sound like an issue we can fix somehow with the Movie maker? I am really afraid that it might be our not-so-great computer and then we are really out of luck. I invested in a webcam for this, but investing in a new computer isn't possible. :sad2: Does anyone have any thoughts or advice?

I got all of my 13 loaded videos approved!!
Im so excited so now Im going to get some more done!!

Are you trying to view it on the Expo site after the upload/available or on your computer?
I ask because sometimes my videos were out of sink on Expo- I waited for a few seconds, clicked and dragged the little moving dot from the left of the video back to the beginning and - no problems- my computer was just not waiting to play it until it was all sent - so it had to wait for the video to get to the computer at home to view it- does that make sense?:confused3

Just to let you know- those videos in that situation have all been approved for me. So maybe you are alright???:wizard:

Originally we were playing it back on the computer immediately after recording it on the webcam. That's when we first had trouble with the sound. After we imported the video to the Movie Maker everything worked fine. But now when we try and convert it from the .MSWMM file (which Expo won't take) to a .WMV , there is no sound when we play the WMV file back. :confused3 We are soooo close!:headache:

I'm sorry :guilty: I'm techno challanged! I don't know how to help with that problem I'm using a Kodak Easy Share Camera-

all I need to do is tape it all in one shot- I can usually do this, download to the KES file ( it automatically comes up into the .MOV file system ), then I just upload it- no editing, or messing around at all. I've had all of my July and most of my Aug movies approved so far ( 69 ) and no rejects popcorn:: It's so effortless with the KES, that even I can do it!

Maybe you could get/borrow a KES camera, try it out and if it doesn't work for you, then you know it's the computer? :confused3
HTH:wizard:

I just realized that I sound like a Kodak commercial :upsidedow

Yippee!!! My first videos have been approved! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I did five in July to try it out and four were just approved today. One is still pending but I'm thinking it will be denied because, once I edited it, it was under 1 minute. I'm surprised it didn't just get rejected at the same time!

Anyway...I'm looking forward to going hog wild with my reviews now and catching up with everyone else. It still seems too good to be true!!!! :thumbsup2

daydreamer64-Have you reviewed your Kodak Easyshare yet??? :rotfl2:

How long does it take for them to be approved? I have 5 pending and am waiting for them to get approved and then we're off to make more. I just love this!!!!

Anyone else having problems this morning? It keeps timing out for me and wont load again. I got it to work for about an hour late last night. I can see this is going to be a challenging month.

I can't upload either. If I'm lucky enough to get the home page to laod, it won't load "make vidoes". :headache: I just keep trying :surfweb: I did get 40 uploaded over the weekend. I thought trying early morning would work, but I guess not. I tried at 7 this morning EST and still couldn't make it work. :confused3

I uploaded my first 10 last night at about 12-1am. It was pretty easy, although two of them stayed on that upload page forever and never showed that "you uploaded your video successfully page" and so I closed out and tried again- and later found that they actually had registered under "my videos". I wanted to watch them to see if they all came out but it said unavailable.

Now I can't even get on the site! :badpc:

This is going to be frustrating. I'll have to just focus on taping them all, and then uploading 10 or 20 at a time in the middle of the night when I don't have to work the next day.
