Yesterday I bought a "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD! I felt like the 2 mile would be best for me but I got the 3 mile one because, being the always money conscious person that I am, I thought I could quit at the 2 mile mark and still have the 3 mile to work towards. This morning I did it and was able to complete the whole 3 miles!!! It was a good workout and when I was done I would have loved to sit in a hot tub (if I had one!) I have 100 lbs. to lose so if I can do it anyone can! I highly recommend this video/DVD!

That's great, Liz. I still haven't ordered that yet. Thanks for reminding me.

Good for you! Doesn't it feel good to finish a workout and think, "I did it!"

Happy walking!

I have seen reference to this several times on the WISH board, but have never heard of it before. Is it something new (within the last year)? Can someone tell me a little more about it, is it all about walking?

Thanks.

tiggerlover...I have had the videos for about 2yrs. I am not sure when they came out exactly. They are most walking forward, backwards, moving your arms, leg lifts, etc. The videos I have do have you add weights 1/2 way through. My friend has one that you use the stretchy band with. I think there are several different types, but they all have the same concept. It is a good workout that you don't have to be extremely coordinated for.

It does have just several basic moves that are all very easy. I have two left feet and some aerobics videos are just a joke for me to try and follow. I didn't use any added weights because I carry around enough of my own! ;) I know the videos come in 1 mile, 2 mile and 3 mile lengths, one that comes with a stretchy band for abs, and I also saw one for over 40 yr. olds. I almost got that one!

You don't have to have a lot of room, which is great. The other people doing the routine with her aren't all skinny unreal looking people either. Why don't you give it a try?! I think you'd like it!

EXCELLENT!!!! You go, Liz!!! That is fantastic!

I agree with what Donald's Daisy said!

Congratulations! I am so glad you got the three mile version and that you shared your victory with us! Way to go!!!!!!!

I really enjoy my tapes. I am hoping that Costco will get the ones with the abs bands. They got the ones with the wieght and eating guide right AFTER I bought the tapes on Amazon.

I have the one mile and today I bought the Walk the Walk tape. It has the one mile and 2 mile included. I really like the tapes. Going to get the abs one soon.

Me too! I am glad it was mentioned last week on the WISH, otherwise I would never have bought them. I have done the 1 mile and 2 mile. Very good workouts!

Wow, Liz! That is fantastic. 3 miles on the first go! I did the one mile and thought I would pass out. You go, girl! And I'll be right behind you, trying to catch up.:bounce:

I've had the one, two, and three mile tapes, a ten minute toning tape, and the weights just sitting in the box they came in from QVC a while ago. So after reading everyone's enthusiastic comments, especially the ones about not having to terribly coordinated, I actually unwrapped them this AM and did the toning tape and the one mile walk. I've lost about 18 pounds since November but am hoping for more toning.

Thanks for finally making me finally do the tapes!!

I got this today too...I did the 1 mile, cuz I had already exercised today and it was 7 pm. I did not want to get hyped up. It was pretty good. I will do it maybe a few more days, and then go to the 2 mile walk as it was pretty easy. I really liked it, and it went fast!! Thanks for the reccomendation, it is awesome!

I am so glad I found this thread! I just watched the infomercial this morning on the 3 set of tapes, with the bands.

If you have any of these tapes, is there one that you like the best? And, where is the best place to buy them? (I wasn't really sure about shucking out $40 on tapes that I haven't tried before... ;) )

Thanks!

Wal-Mart has the 3 tape set with the band for $24. I saw the same set at a music/video store for $35!

...this is just what I wanted to hear! I hope I can find them at our local Super Walmart! :)

BTW... thanks so much for your encouraging words on my earlier post! Your post really jumped out at me! ;) Good luck on your journey as well!

QVC, Sam's Club, and BJs Wholesale Club also sell Leslie's tapes.

OK, I'm confused now... I checked out amazon.com, and they have soo many tapes that she has made! If you have them, which one do you have that you would suggest???

thanks! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Tiffany, I went to Amazon and read the reviews on the different ones and that helped me decide. There seemed to be a lot of people who didn't like the band that comes with the Ab videos. I almost got that set and was just not going to use the band.

My DVD is called "Leslie Sansone's Power Walking System" and it contains "Power Firm" and "Power Walk 3 miles". Maybe others can tell more about their various videos/DVDs. I don't think you'd go wrong with whatever you choose!
