Another Verandah Question

Has anyone stayed in one of the verandah rooms with the metal on the one side of it? It would be where the 5 room sections are divided (and, 4 room section midship). Is it preferable to have this solid metal on one side with a divider on the other, or a divider on both sides? Or, does it even really matter? I guess I'm just trying to pick the *perfect* cabin!

I stayed in a stateroom like this (6616) and personally it really didn't seem to matter. You do have the metal on one side and the regular divider on the other side, but it didn't create a more private enviornment than having two regular dividers. Actually, I would have preferred two regular dividers, since the metal side does have a SLIGHT curve to it, and does take about two inches of space away!!!! But, with all that said, we're booked in the same stateroom for next November, so it really was fine!!

CaliforniaDreaming, we've had both. Any really, the differences were minor. With the metal divider I found that when people were talking on the other side it was muffled just a bit. My biggest complaint with either kind is that people still peak around to see what their neighbors are doing.

The metal wall blocks the light from the veranda on that side. Last cruise, the people next door probably didn't know their light was on all night, all cruise. The light from their veranda made it difficult to see the stars at night. It was annoying to have their light glowing on our veranda.
