Good news ladies!!

My Sister's surgery came out great. They were able to get all the cancer out. No radiation or chemo it looks like!!! Thanks for you works of encouragement and prayers!

It pays to get your yearly pap done. Because my Sis was faithful on hers, the cancer was still in the early stage. It had not spread beyond her uterus to the blood vessels outside of it. So be diligent on that, and mamograms if you are in that age group.

Bernice, I am sorry I will miss you. Have a wonderful "warm" trip. I hope the weather is great while you are here!

I'm also predicting that Sarah will get engaged this year and Pix will be welcoming a new addition to her family in 2010.

I doubt it... In August of this year DBF and I will have been together 10 years! Wow, where did the time go. I don't think we're every going to get married. We're good the way we are, and it wouldn't change anything really anyways. And if I ever get married it's going to be at Disneyland and we don't have that kind of money right now so we're good.

Oh that's fantastic! I'm glad the surgery turned out well, hopefully the cancer stays out forever. And yes, women should not skip their yearly exams!

you know, all of the economic stimulus discussions and the budget plan speeches make my head spin.. just let me know how it affects ME personally.

At this point, it really has no effect-- give more money to schools, have a national health plan in place, change Medicare in a way that will screw us over.. then I will listen. Blue sky is still blue sky until it's on paper and signed on the dotted line.

I know.. huh? I dont get it, but what can you do? So far the only thing I have seen that affects us is the unemployment thing.

My mom was asking if I saw his speech the other day.. I TRIED.. But that lady sitting behind him just freaked me right out! She was WAY to excited!

And I found that TArget sells yogurt, and mac-n-cheese for WAY less then the grocery stores. WHO KNEW!

DBF went up to AAA last week and he calls me and says they were having a sale on Disney Cruises but it was the last day and did I want him to bring some info home. That was a shocker considering he wasn't to excited about our last cruise and he's not the biggest Disney fan.

Hey you, being MIA for a two days and I was starting to wonder

That was Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House behind Obama.. hubby and I laughed as she kept standing up to clap at every statement. She paused on one of them.. and we laughed and said " do you think she's trying to decide if it's stand up worthy or not?"
You could see who were the Republicans and the Obama dislikers in the audience; stone faced, no clapping, no standing. Yeah whatever, you don't have to agree but you don't have to be rude either. But that's the games they play in D.C.

Hey I knew it was cheaper at Target Not always, but lots of times with sales they beat out the competitors here.There is a local magazine that is similar to Consumer Reports, in this case they compare local stores/ services. They did a comparison of groceries stores and Super Target .. conclusion was you would save more per year shopping at Super Target over the grocery store costs.

I thought it was funny that the Starkist tuna in packets (very good) was cheaper than the canned type, they had a display at the check out stands. It was cheaper by 38 cents than the lowest sale price at my local grocey store. I was bummed because I don't think I have any current coupons, just expireds.. darn they don't take those at Target.. booohooo.


I miss some of the perks of shopping at Albertson's last year, they took competitor coupons. That was fun to walk in with a bunch of Super Target printables and coupons clipped from the mexican groceries stores .. nailed a bunch of deals that way.

She was just jeolous, you gotta learn how to work it lady

Now if my local grocery store would have all the perks (expireds, competitor coupons/price matching, Internet printables, doubles on occasion, bulk bins, organic selection at moderate price, Starbuck's in lobby, home delivery -- including apt buildings... ) I would be a happy shopper and never go to a competitor. Dream on Bernice.. dream on...

Went mall walking with my sis this morning, didn't buy a darn thing. We drooled over shoes and purses, I need both.


Seriously, Crocs do not make good dressey dance shoes.

Hubby was done at noon today, once he got home he called us at the mall and we went out to Applebee's for lunch.

Little guy was a squirmer and sis had to stop eating several times to get him back on task to EAT EAT EAT! He's so darn cute for a lil shrimp.

Hubby told me that we have another date for going out with his co-workers to dance, "Boogie Wonderland" is playing.

He says.. we have time it's not until March 6th.


umm dear?? That's next Friday, you know the day I come back at 10 pm on my plane???

I think I will set aside clothes for that night, he can bring it to the airport for me to change and off we go to Boogie the night away. They don't even start playing until 9pm.

Yesterday a lady called in on the radio. She said she was in the Disney Store buying something with her family and her DH asked the clerk if they had the Princess Pelosi doll. The clerk said let me check...she went over and talk with another lady (manager?), both of them looked a bit confused. But the clerk walked back over and said "We don't have them in yet, but if you check back in a few weeks we will probably have some".

Hubby had a flat yesterday, not a simple flat but the torn to shreds variety.


Today, 4 new tires and an oil change later.. we have one happy car, if only our bank account felt the same way.

Like I told E, it was suppose to happen now when we have the extra funds. Why fight it?

We strolled into Best Buy today. I've started relying on my Itouch to enter my food diary and to check calendar daily. Plus the games, email, internet. When we use the games and video options it sucks up the a battery charge. Thinking I will be very sad to have a dead Itouch on the flight home, I voted for an AC plug in charger for me to pack. We found one that you can charge two devices in one unit, it works great!

I have the teenagers overtaking the appt again ... at least our wifi works now and I can sit with my laptop in my bedroom-- I love technology.

Hiya Hyenas. Went to work for a bit today. Then took the kids to Olive Garden for dinner and out to see the movie Coraline.

Personally I would not recommend it for real young children. My 10yo was ok with it, but I wouldn't take say a 7yo to it. Thought it was very interesting due to the PNW tie in (Ashland, OR). But if you're not from the NW, I bet it would go unnoticed. Even my DD and her BFF were confused by the Shakespearean characters when they went into town. Once I explained that the packages belonging to Mr. B were showing an Ashland, OR address then it made more sense to them...but you had to look fast to see that. I liked the first part of the movie, but felt like they just sort of rushed the last part and made each piece of the ending very predictable. Especially when they mention something at the first, make a big deal out of it, then don't show it again...well that's a dead giveaway of what the ending will be.

Howdy, kids!

Just checking in real quick before we head to pick up DS8 from a birthday party. The birthday boy's mom invited just a few kids over, but they're all boys, so here's hoping we find her still standing when we get there.

Basketball season is winding down; we have two more games and then an awards lunch. Overlapping with that is baseball season, which begins next week... ACK! Today we dropped a bundle on clothing (pants, special breathable but warm shirts, cleats, and unmentionables with a cup) so here's hoping the boy has fun at it!

I can't believe it's March already, this year is just flying by at breakneck speed! And spring break is just around the corner, though with the baseball schedule I'm guessing we'll be staying home after all. Ah well...

Tinkermell, I am glad to hear such good news about your sister's surgery! I hope her recovery is speedy.

Megan, hope all is well with you and yours... It won't be long now. Tick, tick, tick...

I'm all packed and anxiously waiting for morning to arrive
Plane leaves long before I usually wake up, even earlier than anyone in the house slams the snooze button.
At least we have a short commute with light traffic at that hour. Bleh :/

Ugh... I am definitely in the home stretch. I am NOT leaving my house again unless I have babies coming out of me. Seriously. It took me 20 minutes to walk up the stairs to the apartment.. and I cried the whole time. My HIPS! My Bladder!!! I think I pulled a muscle in my belly that goes down into my leg. I dont know... But it hurts. Im not sleeping, which is making me extra crazy.. My poor husband.

Anyhow.. We went to Walmart and I bought a ton of formula.. The ready made cans of Enfamil, which cost me a whopping $1.50 each thanks to my lovely friends!! PLus two cans of Good Start.. for a whopping $.97 each! So I have a little stock pile..

We are almost all packed for our busy week.. Just need our last minute stuff, and we are ready to go. My mom stopped by on her way to visit my grandma... with 5 cases of diapers!! Holy mackerel! We were looking at them.. Where the heck do we put them?? Under the crib they went! I think we have enough for the first two months or so.. We have around 9 cases or so..

Oh.. and yesterday I was particularly unpleasant.. so Frelan had me take a nap.. I woke and found that he totally fixed up the crib for me! I have been meaning to do it, just hadnt gotten around to it yet. We are really ready now!
