My day is good so far. I didnt sleep much Thursday night. Then I did all kinds of errands yesterday.

I went to bed at 2:30am and slept until 3pm. I was excited by that! lol.

Right now i'm just relaxing watching tv playing around on the computer.

I had a yummy lunch of a sandwich with turkey breast and corned beef.

My DD is at my sister's for the weekend. So I'm just relaxing today. When my dad gets home from work I'll clip this weeks coupons. I'm lucky. In Pittsburgh on Saturdays is an early edition to the sunday paper that has the inserts in them.

Our paper the Oregonian also has an early Sunday edition with the coupons in it. I get part of mine from there and part from coupons.com and eversave.com.

My DS (10) is playing on a 5th & 6th grade community school basketball team. Today they played a team that has apparently been together since 2nd grade. The dad even built a gym at his house so they could practice in year round. They play in tournaments. Final score was 32 to 21, so our boys did pretty good considering what they were up against. I guess the community school has been pretty upset that this team signs up every year...they are just using the rest of the teams for their practice. The team they played last week couldn't even score, the first quarter was 30 to 0. I guess they were almost 90 to 0 as the final score. That just doesn't seem right. This is supposed to be a fun/learning type of league and many of the boys have never played before. It's kind of tough on some of the boys..it would be like letting our husband's play against an NBA team.

I hate teams/coaches that are like that. I hope your son is proud they did so well though! :)

My DH had to work today, it's a beautiful sunny day outside. We live up on a hill, so it's been sunny all day. When we went downtown it was foggy. I love living up on this hill, we tend to be up above the fog. But it's still very cold, we still have patches of frost in the shade. Brrr..

Its cold here still too. At least the temp is in the positive not negeative. We still have snow on the ground too.

I'm warm in my house with my blanket, and zip up hoodie lol

Our coaches are a 17yo high school kid and 18yo that graduated last year. They know basketball, but are pretty inexperienced at coaching. But they are both trying very hard. Sometimes some of the dad's go out and help them out, trying not to step on their toes. But I think sometimes it takes a parent to know when the kids aren't really understanding things.

The coaches didn't tell them anything beforehand, but afterwards told them how good they did and that basically that other team was a professional kids team with years of experience. So I think they all felt pretty good about it.

The team they played last week they were pretty evenly matched up with and I understand most of the other teams are as well. But boy I have to say they kept our team running!

I think it's been a cold winter for a lot of the country this year. We didn't have much of a summer, but our fall was pretty nice. The winter has been pretty rainy and then snowy and quite a bit colder than normal. Usually we tend to be 45 and raining in the winter. But every once in a while we get an unusually cold or warm winter, guess this is just one of those years.

Sorry I forgot, but what state do you live in?

Sorry, but I need to run. My neighbor just called and wants me to come help her with something. TTYL.

hahahah I dunno are we?

staley7580: I cant stand orange juice lol. Are you getting excited or nervous about the twins coming?
Im terrified! My husband? VERY excited! I think he is nuts. :lmao:
Got my laptop hooked up to the high speed internet. Wow, so this is what it's like to live in the 21st century. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with those chipmunks down in the basement that were running the wheel that powered the old dial up service.:rotfl2:
:lmao:

I'm in PA. I'm in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. We have had a pretty mild winter so far until this month. Then it hit big time.

I'm back, helped the neighbor, put some elk meat in to defrost (making swiss steak tonight) and waxed the floors.

Well come on down I'm fixing swiss steak, mashed potatoes and green salad for supper.:thumbsup2

You are a nice neighbor. Elk meat? yuck. I only like cow. lol

Elk meat pretty much tastes like beef, it just has way less fat. We also add beef suet to our hamburger, so it really tastes like regular hamburger. I'm not real crazy about venison, but elk doesn't have that real gamey taste like deer meat.

I just ordered a pizza!

Yeah, well my elk meat was free...unless you count the $300 spent on food for elk camp, $100 new boots, $50 in ammunition, $100 beer, $50 new long johns, $100 hunting license, $2,000 worth of gas spent driving around hills "scouting" for elk the remainder of the year.:rotfl2: Oh and the $30 subscription to hunting magazine, couple of $300 trips to Cabelas for "stuff". Guess I would be better of ordering a pizza.:rotfl2:

But the wonderful mood it puts my husband in for months after he shoots something and fills the freezer full...priceless!:thumbsup2

Let's also not forget that $11,000 camping trailer parked in the driveway. Final cost per pound of elk meat....geez I can't count that high.:lmao:
