I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get my Vitamin D levels up. Including heading to someplace warm & sunny once a month in the winter time.;)

:scratchin hmm, could you write off the cost as a health expense?

Can you imagine HR trying to figure that out? Take it out of my HSA :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's after 11 pm, do you know where your husband is? Because I don't know where mine is . :rolleyes2

Well lay off the booze and you should be just fine. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If it bugs you .. go bug your doctor. But hey, you know that already. ::yes::

It's not really bothering me. I've just become a hypochondriac.:crazy2:

oh no!
How scary!

Darn techs not telling you -- no really it's suppose to look like that. Whew!:faint:

Tech's used to tell me stuff. But after you've been diagnosed with cancer they won't say a thing.:rotfl: But then again none of the medical staff argue with you either...you can ask for any test and they'll give it to you, no questions asked.:rotfl2:

Typical MN speech, ending in a participle

Is that a dangling particple.. why yes yes it IS!

I'm a Minnesotan, ya! You betcha!

I worked with an older lady who tended to freak about every little thing.

She was a wreck, freaking out over what is done in a bone scan. I was like.. what the heck is your problem??? You lay there, it scans, you look at your bones. Less work than an x ray.

She came back afterwards and laughed .. you were right, it was so simple. :lmao: :lmao:
Silly lady!

I was pretty freaked out before mine. I was having leg pains and then I didn't know if the test would hurt or not. You never know what to think...bone scan just sounds kind of ominous. Piece of cake though.

It's after 11 pm, do you know where your husband is? Because I don't know where mine is . :rolleyes2

Yes, he has to work tomorrow. He's laying in bed snoring.

I'm headed to bed. DS has a basketball game at 9am, so I need to get up early. UGGH! Weekends are for sleeping in and lounging around in sweats or pj's until noon.

I love when the docs don't tell you what to expect. In hubby's case.. no one told him they used stents to keep the ureters open in the transplant. Stents that had to be removed.

Not surgically removed either.

He was not happy!
The nurse said " we don't tell people, because we know that it would be a deterance to getting a transplant"

ya think???

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

really? I do that everyday.:p

Night!!

Got my blood test results today from my physical. I'm very happy because my iron levels are back to normal, all of my white and red blood counts, etc. are all looking back to normal for the first time since chemo.

My urea nitrogen (bun) was low 3.3. My cholesterol was high, 201, so not too bad, only high by 1 point. I think I told you already my Vitamin D level was really low. Normal is 30-150 and I was 24.

Im new to this thread so I didnt know you were sick. I'm glad you are recovering though. That had to be extremely scary.

hmm, interesting.

Research shows us more each year about adequate nutrition and the need for supplements dependent on a person's life stage.

My sis had muliple miscarriages with no known cause, then she had a pregnancy with anencaphalic baby (no brain). Her doc decided that the prior miscarriages were likely due to neuro tube defects and put her on extra folic acid.

Of course, still not sure why she has one child with dyslexia, one with autism and one with development delays (possible autism, mabe something else instead).

Wow Your sister sure has been thru a lot. I will pray for her that she continues with strength that she needs for her family.

I'll never forget my bone scan. I could see the display screen from where I was laying on the table and all sorts of twinkling lights on the computer screen in the shape of my skeleton. I was totally convinced that my bones were filled with cancer because of all the lights

That is exactly why I keep my eyes shut when I get tests done! Lol

So after shopping for 4 hours and then putting away all of the groceries.. I decided my living room needed rearranged. So I moved my couch, recliner and some tables around. Ugh what a stupid thing to do lol. I have scolosis (bad back) and fibromyalgia. Oh yeah and a bad ankle. Yeah i'm gonna feel this tomorrow lol

It's after midnight.. and I am not partying it down.

I'm still waiting on the husband who said the vague statement "It will be late" for an ETA of being home.
:rolleyes2

I hope he comes home soon. I also hope you dont hurt him too badly when he does hahaha. (hugs)

Well its almost 2am. Time for me to head to bed. Nite all.

:crazy2: I just love that guy!:lmao:

Went to Target today.. Of course all the clearance stuff was picked over. Not that it mattered, after about 5 minutes I felt like I was going to eat tile again. :sad2: ANYHOW!! We bought some diapers... and wipes.. and some onsies.. Im starting to feel ready!! Almost. We got home and went through the clothes and stuff we have, sorted, cut off tags and whatnot. Rolled out the bassinet so the babies have a place to sleep in the living room.

Frelan took the car seats out to the van so we could figure out where to put them, and make sure we had everything set in place for when they do come. DANG. It was something looking at the van and seeing 4 car seats. :faint: WAY freaky.

Other then that I was lazy all day.. Laid on the sofa drinking my orange juice and eating tacos. I have drank more orange juice lately then I have in the past 7 years. Its bizarre. I had to stop drinking it when I was pregnant with Alex because it gave me killer heartburn.. Havent been able to drink it since. Now?? I could down a gallon a day if the stuff and it doesnt bother me a bit! But brownies KILL me. Its just bonkers I tell ya!

I'm not sick, actually I'm very healthy. I just had breast cancer 2-1/2 years ago, went thru left mastectomy, chemo, radiation and reconstruction. It's strange because I felt healthy when I was diagnosed and then worse after they got done with me!:crazy2: Unfortunately the treatment leaves you with lots of long-term side effects. Chemo especially is very hard on your body...but what are you going to do, of course you accept treatment so you can live. Your hair grows back and everyone thinks you are back to normal, unfortunately that's not the case. Lots of long term side effects that take several years to resolve. But overall I'm doing very well and I plan on being around for many, many years to come!:thumbsup2

I used to rearrange furniture for fun. To me the house isn't clean unless you can move the furniture every once in a while. I too have scoliosis, but I now have a life long 25 pound lifting restriction (due to my reconstruction surgery). So I push the furniture around with my thighs instead of lifting it. Actually my scoliosis is the cause of my crooked belly button!:rotfl: When they did my reconstruction and had to create a new belly button they made it even with my midpoint on my nose...which happens to be about an inch off from my midpoint of my crotch. Result, it looks like my new belly button is about an inch off.:rotfl2:

Hold it, you clip coupons, rearrange furniture for fun, have scoliosis...are you sure we aren't long lost twins??:lmao:

And yet when he said "I will be late" you didn't believe him??:rotfl2:

Fred Meyer puts their half gallon orange juice on sale all the time. Whenever you see the coupons in the paper for $1 half gallon of milk, it also includes their chocolate milk and orange juice. I usually get the calcium fortified OJ, very good and great price!:thumbsup2

hahahah I dunno are we?

staley7580: I cant stand orange juice lol. Are you getting excited or nervous about the twins coming?

Got my laptop hooked up to the high speed internet. Wow, so this is what it's like to live in the 21st century. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with those chipmunks down in the basement that were running the wheel that powered the old dial up service.:rotfl2:

You could always sell them to Disney to work as replacements for Chip and Dale. :rotfl2:

Yeah, but they are rather haggard looking...made the work overtime to try to keep up that 56K speed.:rotfl2:

So how's your day? I got up early, went to DS's basketball game, then came home got the laptop hooked up to the internet and then rounded up the kids and made them help me do housework, ate a bowl of spaghetti and now I'm contemplating going grocery shopping. Just can't decide if I feel like going or sitting here and doing nothing.:confused3

My DS (10) is playing on a 5th & 6th grade community school basketball team. Today they played a team that has apparently been together since 2nd grade. The dad even built a gym at his house so they could practice in year round. They play in tournaments. Final score was 32 to 21, so our boys did pretty good considering what they were up against. I guess the community school has been pretty upset that this team signs up every year...they are just using the rest of the teams for their practice. The team they played last week couldn't even score, the first quarter was 30 to 0. I guess they were almost 90 to 0 as the final score. That just doesn't seem right. This is supposed to be a fun/learning type of league and many of the boys have never played before. It's kind of tough on some of the boys..it would be like letting our husband's play against an NBA team.
