Wow, DH must have turned the heat down, because I am freezing my patootie!

I should get to bed anyway. I have been staying up late and not sleeping terribly well the past few days, so I'm hoping for a "good winter's sleep".

Good Morning Hyenas! Here I sit in my sweats and fuzzy socks instead of working. Two snow plows have FINALLY gone down our hill, but it's still a solid sheet of ice. However, by noon it should be above freezing and by 4pm it will be 38 and rain! The word snow has been replaced by rain on the 7 day forecast!

Omg.... My husband is so pissed at Alex, and I cant stop laughing. Frelan is VERY SLOWLY going over gun safety with Alex. It is a very serious thing for us, and something that we were both raised with starting at a young age. ANYHOW.... Alex got a bunch of nerf guns for Christmas.. and he keeps accidentally shooting Mikalah in the head with them. Frelan was FREAKING OUT. How is he ever going to be mature enough to shoot a real gun... you know, when he is MUCH OLDER... if cant not accidentally shoot his sister in the head with a nerf gun??

1. He is six...
2. Its a nerf gun... in his room... the thing is BIGGER then he is. Plus.. Mikalah has a big head. Its hard to miss.

I was rolling. I REALLY dont think the two things have much to do with each other.

You do paint a funny picture. (Tell the truth, you painted a big red and white target on her face, didn't you?)

But I'm with Frelan. I'm constantly yelling at the boys to not shoot the Nerf darts in each other's face, don't shine the flashlight in your brother's face... don't STARE at the flashlight yourself! Oyyyyy...

DS8 got this cool projector that displays the solar system on the wall/ceiling, and when you press buttons on the console it tells interesting facts about each planet. It can even give you a quiz about the facts!

So I read the instructions to DS when we opened it, and the first one says in bold print not to shine the light in someone's eye, only upward at the ceiling. So what's the first thing he does the moment we're done reading the instructions? Flashes it right in his brother's face as he walks past.

He KNOWS not to shoot it at her, and she doesnt shoot it at him.. But he got the long strike?? I dont know for sure, but the thing is HUGE. I am NOT kidding when I say it is bigger then him. He DOES need to be more careful.. I can so see it being an accident though. Maybe when he gets the gun back, he will do better,.

Mikalah is the ne that looks in the flash light. GENIUS I tell ya! They dont do it to each other... Thankfully.

I had a super Christmas as well, I am officially engaged! He gave me my ring and popped the question on Christmas Eve as I was almost asleep.

We have no plans for New Years as all our friends are back home in Canada, so I don't know what to do. Hopefully I can find a party to crash because I'll be so lonely if I have to sit at home and watch movies all night.

This morning my older sister and my dad went to Costco over in Westlake. They had the piano I wanted in stock but their tax is higher than where we live. Luckily my local Costco had them in stock (I believe they just received more today) and I got one. It's a Casio digital piano with 88 keys and it came with a piano bench. Its awesome and I have always wanted a piano. It was marked down from over $1,000. I just need to assemble it. I'm so happy that I will be able to play again and order new music. I really want to play Apologize by One Republic. While there, my brother found the last Guitar Hero World Tour for Xbox 360. It was the last one in stock for Xbox 360 and one person tried to take it from my flatbed cart. I gave him an evil "don't even think about it!" look and he backed off. He even stopped his cart when he saw it and was going to take it and then he looks up and sees me standing there. "Keep moving mister!" Others asked where we got it and were polite about it but they were bummed to learn that my bro had got the last one.

As a Christmas present, my brother bought me Wall-E on DVD and my older sister bought a Disney Treasures Donald Duck DVD tin. It looks really cool and I have the Disney Rarities.

My older sister is pissed because I went with her to the Lexus dealership this morning. Her trunk is broken and the hydraulics do not work and if you open her trunk, it will fall on your head. The dealer quoted a $100 estimate this morning and he just called back and somehow gave a new estimate of over $800!!! My dad was really angry and said they are shady and just want money. There is also a problem with the sensor on her windshield. The dealer also said that the car windshield was aftermarket but it's stock and he didn't believe it. He said he would call back and he hasn't so far.

I'm currently at my parents house just chilling out. I hope you guys are having a great day.

E's family suprised us on Chrismtas Eve by coming to visit
We had fun hanging out on Christmas Day- very mellow playing games and chatting. In the evening we worked together to make two big pans of enchildas, with breaks to slam shots of tequila.

My spanish speaking texas/ midwest accent MIL started talking in a boston accent "I do believe I am a tad drunk"


Didn't have any lemon or lime.. we subbbed with the packets of lemon salt that are sold in the candy section at Mexican grocery stores.

New one for me and hubby, it was fun!

Today we went out in the drizzly foggy wet warm day (43 degrees, slush city!) to an IMAX version of The Day the Earth Stood Still.

It was just okay... not into IMAX films for typical movies.. would rather have watched the Oceans/ Dolphin one that was featured instead (cheaper ticket too).
But I know that my inlaws are not "museum go-er" types and would have been bored with what they would view as an educational film.
We've watched similar films at the Science Museum in the IMAX format -- breath taking beautiful photography and well done narration. The IMAX format is perfect for those films, not so much for the typical hollywood film.

BIL promised to visit again before he goes back to college (in Michigan).

MIL mentioned that she and my SIL have been kicking around the idea of moving to MN.. I know MIL hates the traffic in the big city, she's having a time adjusting from country living to small college town.
But if SIL does decide to move .. MIL will follow.
We've been encouraging them to make the move, we have better health care here and lots of programs to help if you don't have insurance.. it's worrisome that MIL is not insured right now. Not taking blood pressure meds, too expensive with her other bills.

Besides, now that all of us have matured thru the years-- it's way more fun to hang with her than before

Soooo.... My horror-mones are out of CONTROL! I woke my poor husband up at midnight last night FREAKING OUT. I dont mean like I was crying a little.. I was full on blubbering, sputtering, BAWLING. TWINS??? Are you freaking KIDDING ME?? All I could do do was look at him. What have we done? How could we do this to Alex and Mikalah?? THey didnt ask for this, and they deserve better. I have been hating myself for weeks now. Everytime I look at my kids.. All I can think of is, What have I done?

Thank you ladies for the wonderful photo Christmas cards. We finally made it down to pick up our mail. The snow is about halfway melted and life in the rain is now good!

I was very stiff and sore today. It seems that I am addicted to the Wii and come to find out I am a great Wii bowler. I have a goal to lose10 pounds before the cruise. According to the Wii scale I've already lost almost 3 lbs. the last 2 days.

Hey all! I am so sorry for not being on here more I have just been struggling with my life and i mean everything.
My husband wanted a divorce , my kids are off track since nov 21st
Mayson is still not sleeping at night unless he is in my bed ...ARGH!
Hubby lost his job , and we ended up filing Bankrupcty due to huge Identity Theft...(always check your credit)
plus my hormones from my surgery 2 yrs ago are still messed up...
Plus i am a new aunt again my sister had her baby on dec.9th so i have a beautiful niece Ivee MaryBeth...
and my stupid computer crashed again but was brought back to life thanks to hubby's friend....
SO AM I FORGIVEN??
anywhoo back to your lifes.....

Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of the DIS? I am so sorry to hear about some of your bad news, storm clouds always clear up and things will get better. Congratulations on your new niece! I think there might be another baby boom, just about everyone I know is having or just had a baby (or two )
