We really don't have much, seems that all of you are getting hit with it instead.

I want a big ole winter storm, haven't had one in a few years.

Snow on the weekend, but not enough to make it hazardous-- good. Don't want to get stuck at my parent's house.

We had a plastic bucket on the back deck and it is now filled with snow. So we officially have a bucket full o' snow! We've shoveled the snow off the trampoline 3 times today. Our forecast tonight is another 3-5 inches and then another 1 inch tomorrow. Plus cold, cold 20 degree weather for the next week. They are now forecasting snow for Christmas!

It's actually the back steps. We live in a mobile home. It's still snowing! Crazy.
DBF is stuck in Santa Clarita because the 14 freeway is closed.

Wow! What crazy weather we are having.

It rained a lot today and was very windy and rump freezing cold!

My grandma had a flight to SF but it was delayed. My mom stayed with her at Burbank Airport until her flight was able to depart. Since the 5 fwy and the 14 fwy were closed, my mom said she had a terrible time getting back.

One group of jurors was called this afternoon. I didn't get picked and just when I thought they were going to let us go home, they called another 70 jurors. I was praying that they wouldn't call my name and luckily they didn't. Phew! They let us leave around 4pm. I hit some traffic on the 101 fwy heading back and it was starting to rain a bit hard.

I'm glad jury duty is over. The first group that got called today has to return tomorrow. I don't get paid for jury duty and I can't afford to miss work. I was able to read some work e-mail but I hope it's not crazy tomorrow.

So Bernice and Staley will have a white christmas this year. That's so awesome!!

Good Morning! I wasn't able to go to work today. My car is Stuck! DBF is still stuck in Santa Clarita. He can't get home.

I know. They have no ETA for opening the freeway either. I tried to find him some back way home, a dirt road or something but the only way in to the Antelope Valley is the metrolink but even then I have to way to get him from the train station.

eek! yeah if you can find a way from the metrolink that wouldn't be bad. Do you have snow removal in your area?

As a MN person.. not having a plow is bizarre to me. Can you imagine if we didn't have plows here? Everyone would be stuck inside November until April.

Most people I know, that live in the woods, have their own plows on 4 wheel drive trucks. Beats shoveling a long winding driveway


We've had blizzards in mid April, my oldest was born during one. The day before we were wearing shorts and long sleeves-- balmy winds, grass was greening up. Next day, 2 feet of snow.

You likely have more snow than we do at this point. The storms that have gone thru MN have been further south, enough to shut down the interstate for a day.

We are expected to get 3 inches overnight. As long as the plows go thru in my parent's area before the weekend I will be happy.
If there is a bunch of snowfall on the weekend, I won't even try going out to their property-- my mom has been stuck at home for days because the plows don't come thru as often on her lake property.
I love my family, but not enough to be cooped up with all of them for several days Besides, hubby is a good excuse -- it would be life threatening to be without dialysis for more than two days.

Darn, I can't get codes to stack on Ulta and then the cart dumped out all my freebies-- I give up. Don't need more body wash and other junk anyway but it was fun to try.

We FINALLY got the storm. They have been advertising it all week - said we could get 3 feet but all it did all week was rain . Finally though - this morning - *S*N*O*W* - so snow day for the kids, I got out of working all day today and now I get to catch up on

Good Morning Hyenas!

This morning I scraped snow off of my windshield and back window of my car. I couldn't believe how much ice there was. I look over at my bf's car and he didn't have any.

DIZZY!! How are you? I miss you! I went to Kohl's last night and thought of you. They had a lot of merchandise on sale and they close at midnight. I also did a Target run to get more wrapping paper.

Most stores are open late this month but for some reason, my local Walmart is not open late. Oh well.

*Sarah-I'm sorry your DBF is stuck due to the snow. I hope he makes it back today.

No gifts for inlaws, it can wait as I have no idea when we will see them anyway. I put together "family move night" sets for my family, just need gift cards for the movie part of the gift. Going out to my parent's this weekend.
