Good Evening Hyenas,

I worked on my christmas tree some more (still is not complete). Here are some pics of what I have so far

wow! pretty tree Pix! Makes me want to haul out my decorations and get to work.

Hanging out wiht my sis yesterday , shopping with our various coupons (CjBanks and JcPenney's-- gotta love cheap and free clothes!)

Tried on a few things for sis who has getting a gift for our mom... about the same size, but not same body shape (mom is rounder in the middle).

I asked sis, "what the heck is going on for Christmas get together anyway?"
she looks at me all puzzled.. "she didn't tell you?"

"NO, in fact R (our nephew) was asking ME when it was"

She gasps.. dawns on her "Oh crap, I forgot to tell B (our brother)"



Told hubby, guess where we are going next weekend?

He replies: grumble grumble grumble



Me: oh, and sis is buying gifts for everyone.

hubby: "what?! darn it!"

Guess what we get to do this week... sigh....





see, hubby feels that it is silly to buy gifts for adults... usually don't get anything you want/ need/ fits/ suits lifestyle. Besides it's a big waste of money. Better to take the money to adopt a child from the giving tree or donate to Toys for Tots.

I tend to agree with him, only because I hate shopping for guy gifts. And at this point, it's hard to put together any good deals with little money out of pocket. Now I feel like, if we don't bring gifts we look like cheapskates.

I agree with you on the gift thing. But our family doesn't have kids anymore so we give each other gifts and it's so hard and expensive, I'm glad my siblings don't have children yet or I'd be broke.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you guys like my tree I need to put together the disney monorail around the base. I have one that I bought from DL a few years ago and it moves and talks and has lights. I love that thing.

I also wanted to get some more ornaments. I think some Disney ornaments at Hallmark are really cute and the detail on their ornaments is awesome. I hate to say it but some of their ornaments look better than ones they sell at DL. Either that or I might hit up Disney Store because they have ornaments on sale for $3.99/EA.

Oh and I was upset last night because I wanted to use my Tinkerbell tree topper that lights up. I didn't know that the housekeeper had broke Tinkerbell's wand! I was so mad but what could you do? She didn't tell me about it etiher! Oh well, maybe I could get one from disneyshopping.com. It's on sale for $14.99.

Tomorrow is my co-workers birthday. I'm going to attempt to make her a hello kitty cake (she loves Hello Kitty like I do) and will make my first attempt with fondant to cover it. I bought peanut m&m's for the eyes and nose and black licorice string for the whiskers. I hope it turns out well. Hopefully I will have time to make one. If not, then that's okay.
