Another snow day *OT warning*

OMG!!! You northerners really need to get your priorities straight. Milk.... bread.... eggs...????

Whenever the threat of a hurricane surfaces here in Florida the first thing to dissappear off the shelves???

BEER!!!!

Have some pride, people!!!

That's because we have a 3 month supply stocked already!

4" is barely a dusting here, but the forecasters really do get people upset, generally over nothing!

My Dad always kept at least 6 cases in the basement along with enough tuna and miracle whip to survive a nuclear winter. My backup plan for Y2K was to have enough fuel to make it to their house, then we were all set.

That's what the second fridge in the basement is for - Beer and Milk (though not necessary drunk together) in the event of snow storm or tornado.

Snow again today and through the night . They are talking 8 to 14 inches. Will it ever stop??? :crazy2:

We were on a 2 hour delay for FOG. I can't believe how much school my kids have missed due to weather this winter.

Its literally HOT here....and the fog coming across lake pontchatrain from N.O. this a.m. was soooo thick that there were police escorts taking you across the bridge....24 miles of nothing but grey at a c-r-a-w-l-i-ng 45mph after a 12 hour shift on the last busy day of mardi gras!!!! Thank god they have those little reflective "you're running off the road" noise makers in the lanes to wake you up when you nod off. I need to invest in or invent REDBULL I.V.s

Well....MY kids are home again today (Wed, Feb 6th) because of ICE that came through last night. SIGH. I know we are going to end up having to make up days at the end of the school year. I don't even remember them missing so much school in one year.:confused3

Another day in the 80's here. I am a hatin it for ya! If it makes you feel better, mine are in school, but they have an early dismissal today.:confused3

for rainfall on a single day in the month of February. It was a little over 1/2". That's not much, but when you consider that ANY rain in February in Buffalo is unusual. It's usually not warm enough to rain then!

I thought of you this morning when I had on the weather channel. They said something about 15 inches of snow in Mich?!

OMG..... another "early release" day today..... a couple of inches last night and a few more today and the entire educational system comes to another grinding halt. Kinda makes you wonder what would happen if things were really bad. The school busses arent any harder to wheel than the 40,000 truck I have been wheeling around all day in this weather.
I think we have a bunch of soft flatlanders up here.

I am only about 20 miles North of Shannone1 so we get pretty much the same weather.

It is not looking good for tomorrow either. :headache: They are expecting more snow overnight. We've got about 3 inches of snow so far already and the roads are not so great.

Normally I wouldn't mind about the snow days. However my 8th grade daughter and I are going on the 8th grade Washington DC trip after school is out this summer. The kids get out of school on a Friday and we are supposed to leave the following Monday for the trip. I don't know what they will do if the kids have school days to make up :confused3
