How does one go about doing the poit transfer, if" no moey is supposed to be exchanged" for transfers- is it done like with Paypal ahead,and then on the phone with MS? don't want to start something here, just really curious, don't want to misstep

While the DVC rules state that points cannot be transferred for 'compensation', in reality it is done all the time, and Disney does not do anything about it.

Most believe Disney's statement is a legal statement so that DVC is legally insulated from any legal dispute between the two parties involved. That way the transfer is strictly between the two individuals involved and does not directly impact Disney. Thus if someone transfers points and is not paid by the other party, the other party cannot go to Disney and complain or try to get the points back, since there was not suppose to be any 'compensation' involved.

Actual payments are arranged strictly by the two parties involved, in whatever terms they agree upon, be it Paypal, personal check, or whatever.

Caskbill pretty much sumed up the Disney end of it but just remember on your end if compensation happens you should receive it before doing the transfer as once the transfer happens it can not be undone and is final. I imagine PayPal is the way to go as the instant payments appear on your account within minutes and then the actual transaction with MS can be done. This is assuming you are the seller and not the buyer. As with renting it is a trust thing between both parties.
