I got the M/c meal deal, and now just read in another post that there is 2 kinds of meal deal tickets - 1 that is for one park and 1 that is for both parks...so, what is the M/C deal for then? for 1 or both parks?

Thanks - Jo:rolleyes:

You purchased the single park meal deal. The two park option is only available at the parks.

that's kind of a bummer....if I had known that (should have read more into it, I guess) I don't think I would have purchased this deal...

Now the question remains, which side has the best food options?

name the places for me, i forgot which ones they were except for a few of them.

i have eaten at all the places and can give you a run down of my experiences if that would help

what is the meal deal? Do you need to book a whole package or just tickets?
thanks!

you can buy a single park or both park meal deal.

you get the entree, side and a dessert. no bevarage.

there is a mc promo for $5 off if you buy it on line for the single day one park meal deal.

you can go back as many times as you wish for food.

only 3 places for each park are participating in this program.

you can buy the meal deal at the park but the discount is only for on line purchases.
you pay one price for the entire day. it expires 30 minutes before the park closes. that is the resturants can serve you on this plan 30 minutes before the end of the park day.

I believe the Mastercard deal has changed. When I checked the Universal website earlier today it listed the price as $19.99 and said that was $2 off the peak season price.

MasterCard Cardholders save $2 off the peak season price on 1-Day/1-Park Meal Deal Ticket! Does not include dinner entrees from Universal's CityWalk®.

If someone can find a way to still purchase the meal deal at $14.99 I would love to know how. Also from the wording on the website it sounds like Universal is going to raise the price of the meal deal for the summer.

Okay, I saw the offer on their website, but does anyone know which restaurants are included in either park? And what does "all you can eat?" mean exactly? What about the "all you can drink" deal? is that worth it?

Thanks guys-

below is listed the 6 resturants and menus.
all i see is the $2 off the regular price now. do not see the special $5 off by buying it on line.

oh snap!

last summer they did a special promo with the meal plan that you could eat at those places in city walk between 5-10pm as one of the choices. they had a listed menu to choose from on the plan. i think pastamore had a good one then.

that above what you were told might be a good deal.
eat in the parks in the day and one dinner at night at city walk.
what's nice about that meal plan is you can still have a later dinner and not have to worry about eating all meals in the park.

thanks for the info guys....I was thinking that it wasn't such a great deal because there were no sit down meals, but now it might be worth it hmmmmm.....:teacher:

Hi all!

Having never been to Universal Studios in Florida - DH & I are planning a trip this June (with a stop at WDW for SWW). Anyway...

I was looking at the Meal Deal thing and was wondering if it would be a good idea. Online it said $24.99 plus tax but it looks like it's only available at Mel's Drive-In; Louie's Italian Restaurant & International Food & Film Festival and at IOA: Circus McGurkas Cafe Stoo-pendous, Comic Strip Cafe, & Captain America Diner.

Since we've never been...I'm asking you all - is this worthwhile? What are these 6 restaurants like? How is the food?

Also - I'm guessing I wouldn't need reservations at these 6 - is that correct? But for the ones at CityWalk - they do require ressies - correct?

Thanks a bunch!!

beverages are not included on the meal deal.
there is a sale on the drinks for all day for one set price.

on the uo website you can see the food selections. chicken, burgers, fries that type of stuff is the basic for some of them.

the international film and festival place has 4 different choices of meals.

why don't you wait until you get there and see the menu choices first before you buy into them?

if you have big eaters, or teens, i think it might be good. why not just do one park meal deal promo? the food counters stop honoring the meal deal 30 minutes before the park closes.

you get the the meal and dessert. you can go back numerous times.
if you like pizza, think louies is on the list, you can get more pizza.
think i paid about $5 for pizza last year.
