We've been hemming and hawing the purchase of DVC since our Labor Day trip this year. Lots of time has been spent lurking around the DVC boards and checking out resales (we're looking for under 100 points).

Well, we finally decided to go ahead and plunge into the world of DVC this morning when we found our ideal contract. The location, number of points, the price - everything was perfect. I e-mailed the TSS, received the info, forwarded it to my DH at work, and I needed a final pep-talk with DH. We decided to go ahead only to find out during the pep talk, someone went for it. I felt like I was flying high and then BAM... crashed...There will be another, right?! I know there will... just had to share how close we were!

Sorry that you were disappointed, but you are indeed correct...another one WILL come along. And the time will come when the time is right and things will all work out because what is meant to be, will be! Maybe there was a reason that you can't see that it's not the right time now. There are new ones all the time. Keep looking and keep trying. It will happen when it's right. I know how that feels though when you get excited and then something messes it up. I had a dissapointment this week too. Just think of all the fun vacations you will have ahead of you once it works out! Here's some pixiedust!

I think if you give your details to TTS they will keep and eye out for you for a contract that fits. We bought one resale from them and it was very easy and they were easy to work with. But similar, we missed our first chance so we asked them to keep and eye for something close and 2 days later they had a seller with exactly what we wanted. Maybe luck, maybe meant to be but there it is...

You have to keep looking everyday yourself. This same thing happened to us twice. Now we're waiting to see if we passed ROFR on another.

I found a sie called MyResotNetwork.com (I think I got that right) and they will email you when new listing come up for whichever resorts you pick. All the big resale brokers have listings on there. That's how I found this last one fast enough.

it looks like there is SO MUCH for sale right now....it seemed to really grow in the last week! Keep looking, and then jump on it now that you know you really want it!
